Competitive problems

Hy
There are many low level “noobs” in competitive, can u raise the lvl 25 to 40-50?
AND dont let players play with a hero in comp who didnt have at least 2-3-4 hour playtime with the hero
i think these things can make OW better

There are people with 100h who can’t play their hero and there are master smurfs who will destroy with 10min playtime. And by the way …. what’s winning and losing games below diamond or masters isn’t your mechanical skill or 2-2-2, it’s your gameknowledge and teamplay.

No. If you needed even an hour of playtime in competitive, nobody could flex. Like, say I go into competitive after playing Hammond No Limits for a week. Say I played Hammond only for 3 hours a day. That is slightly over 20 hours experience with the hero and yet I cannot play him for that triple dive cheese just because I did not play an hour of QP or some other stat recording mode?

You would just be delaying the smurf problem with this solution anyhow. Say I level one of my Widow/Hanzo smurfs (yes, I have a few), and well, I get into competitive. Now what? Same problem as before. Only difference is now while they are whining about the character choice, I literally could not change if I wanted to as I do not have hours on any other hero.

Beyond that, with private profiles, if someone asked someone else to play healer, they could literally just say, “sorry, I would, really I would, but none of my healers have an hour on them.”

In other words, this would not solve anything and only serve to create more problems and intensify others.

I see where you’re coming from but

  1. Do you know how long it takes to get to 40-50?
  2. I have 200+ on zen and 30-50 on other heroes but I had 3 hours on mei before bringing her into comp. I’ve done well with Mei in comp.
And as someone said above I’ve seen people with a ridiculous amount of hours who can’t even play the hero they have hours on.

At your ELO, low levels on your team isn’t what’s keeping you down. Everybody sharing your “it’s my bad teammates” attitude is actually what’s doing it.

It’s actually not that untrue but that’s for an elo hell discussion
