Hi, why were many users at the opening of the game found with 10 times the competitive points they had many previously on overwatch and others like me not?
Out of nowhere I found myself having fewer golden weapons (sweaty over time) than someone who played less than half my hours.
Example: A person playing with me a few days ago was about to get their first overwatch golden weapon, but that’s not because it stopped at 2907 points. Today he arrived on overwatch 2 and found himself with 29070 points, bought 9 gold weapons.
Is it a bug and can you restore the points and gold weapons that the community previously had an overwatch 2? or who was lucky enough to have their competitive points multiplied and bought the golden weapons, now they have them and the rest of the people make do?
Thank you very much and good job
happened to me to i had 780 now I have 7800

Imagine complaining about the only good thing that happen at the game’s launch. This does not hurt the game whatsoever. Move on.

You probably can’t play comp or only lose so you can’t earn any comp points
In fact at this moment the community is divided into: 1) who has weight all; 2) who has remained as he was; 3) who has obtained infinite rewards.
It is a roulette.
Those who received the awards are right not to complain, but the others do, hahaha.
golden weapons will not be as beautiful and interesting as they used to be.

Ow2 ruined the one thing money can’t buy in ow1
The fact that they won’t address it in the known issue is absurd. THEY KNOW.
i have my own gold weapons, which i earned.
i am just happy for people who got some extra!
no need to be the fun police.

I know it’s a bug and they should keep it but is unfair. I’m not trying to whine about it because I’m not that kind of person. They should at leased compensate players who did not gain from this bug to even it out
In this thread, we pollute the real issues for Blizz to look at by whinging about gold guns and who has more of them…smh

If they addressed a missing skin, why can’t we raise concerns about comp points
Because in one instance you’re talking about a negative aspect i.e. unable to play, unable to access heroes, etc. etc. In THIS case, the OP is complaining about a cosmetic “benefit” because they are offended that others are able to run around with golden guns (to the point where it appears like jealousy…). We’re literally now complaining about getting FREE stuff…OW forums are a hellhole…

Nahhhh there are way more people complaining about missing a cosmetic skin than glitch comp points
Here we are not talking about jealousy, but about equal respect that Blizzard has not had until now towards the community. Maybe I don’t care that a Bronze player with 100 hours of play has more golden weapons than a Diamond with 800 hours, but if you think about it the desire, the ambition, the satisfaction of reaching the highest level to get those damn points competitive to get to take that mystical golden weapon, which its obtaining has given an incredible joy to 90% of the community, is now gone and no one will have the same desire to take them as before. Right now I have to play to get what? for the Battle Pass which doesn’t even give you the money to buy the next one; to unlock the skins? which you can only get if you pay for them with the “money” you save for a future Battle Pass; for fame ?.
The only thing you could get by sweating hours of gameplay, now everyone already has it.
So even the simple satisfaction of having one more golden weapon than a friend no longer exists.

I have never step foot into a competitive arena in OW outside of doing my placements and I have a dozen or more gold weapons just from doing that…so…yeah, I think you’re making a generalization that doesn’t apply to everyone i.e. assuming that everyone finds “desire, ambition or satisfaction” of progressing through OW’s broken competitive play, you may want to step back from that thought process. Some of us do it for giggles. I don’t begrudge anyone who has golden weapons, they are open to everyone, and people shouldn’t assume that anyone playing this game sets their sights on high rankings. Let it go man, it’s the first time Blizz has given us anything for free in this game…lol.
ahahahaha but why do you carry on a discussion that based on what you write does not interest you. As you wrote you do not face the competitive ones except for the placements and for you the problems are not these, so go and answer what you think are problems hahaha The forum is free for everyone and everyone is free to write their own thoughts describing and discuss the bugs found. Why post and write below a post that doesn’t catch your attention and doesn’t reflect what you use as a “problem”, with a hint of arrogance, like you did with your first answer? As if we were all frustrated by this, just for describing and arguing a gambling error. Nobody here is.
Then I didn’t write “all” generalizing hahaha.
Most of those who play overwatch play for the competitive, the game is born and revolves around the competitive (this is a fact), so you can play it or not, nobody forces you, but in any case you can have fun and "laugh. ".
However whatever the bugs are it is right to report them if they are “positive” or “negative”, because in both cases they ruin the game experience as it was designed by the development team and the reporting helps the development team to improve it.
Then if you write like this because you too have obtained the competitive points, then there is no discussion. Ahahahah
I conclude this exchange here, I will not answer yet
We will meet on overwatch, good game.
Oh look, a simp for bugs the minute the bugs help them.
