Having played some quickplay with the new patch, i have now seriously considered playing competitive open queue. Prior to the season 9 patch, i considered open queue to not be an actual competitive mode, if i want to play tank in role queue its always sigma, rein or zarya. But with the new patch, it seems very clear that playing any tank that does not have a shield to be a game lost because of the new damage passive. What are your guys’ opinion on trying out Open Queue?
I would play ranked open q all the time if the game could actually find some games and it’s not like I’m super high rank there either I’m in plat but who knows know since I haven’t found any games for like 2 seasons plus the rank reset.
I have found goats to be the most fun in any open queue game, that might just be me but i have yet to play comp open queue yet seriously
Open Queue ranked on EU is not great, a lot of bad players maintaining their rank just by abusing 3 tanks comps.
still better than playing the solo tank in role queue

I love open queue as a Hog player. I have not tested it yet because I have so much more to try in the base game… But I imagine it will still be Hogchamp. And less DPS players means less cauterize. It’s a no brainer!
