As for it being a troll’s paradise, how’s that any different to competitive as it is now?

That’s not enough of a reason not to consider adding backfill to comp, though.

Yep, and cop a loss and drop in SR.

Which is easily avoidable by adding backfill - which is already in game in QP & in deathmatch - to competitive.

There is NO reason why competitive should not have backfill.

Also, I applaud you for taking the time to actually respond to my clearly visible sh*t-post even though most people probably realized, after the 2nd time I made some dumb comment about pharah, that I was joking around.

Yes, There are 6 people on an Overwatch team, and yes, I was making fun of myself for not shooting pharah, but man, you were too dense to get the joke, and decided to say something dumb like “you don’t have 6 hitscan in the game for Pharah.”

Technically speaking, many heroes have hitscan abilities and to name just 6 off my head? Tracer, McCree, D.Va, Zarya, Symmetra, and Ana (when scoped.) Man, not only was that 6 heroes, it was a FULL legit team comp. 2-2-2. Crazy. There are even more heroes too, like Mccree, Reaper, Bastion, etc.

Anyway, i’m satisfied. I might not “be able to read”, but you CLEARLY don’t know what you’re talking about… (Use some commas so your run-on sentences sound coherent.)

Of course “every” or “only" is stupid because there always an exception it’s called an exaggeration on purpose you know because of the sheer amount of team sport that has swaps mid game.

I’ll skip to the joke part I know one when I see one I just hate people using this dumb jokes because it adds nothing to the discussion so yeah i’ll comment on them and i’ll take my time for it.

let’s go to the 6 hit scan part notice what I said:

“You don’t have 6 hit scan in the game for Pharah”

See that most heroes you mentioned aren’t direct counter (but they do work) and you need to be really good with them to counter Pharah and since we were talking about dummies I was only refraining to hard direct counter.

And nice of you calling me dense and insult my writing on the way (English is not my native language and even in my native language I have writing disability).
That why I like to come here to get insulted.

The ‘you can turn it off’ argument for why a feature should be added is tried, tested, and failed. Mainly because it doesn’t actually address the problem - it’s a copout. Any and every criticism can just be met with ‘well you can turn it off if you don’t like it’.

Anyway, I propose that Jeff adds a new competitive mode to the game where the only hero available is Zenyatta. If you don’t like it you don’t have to play it so there’s NO reason not to add this.

i had to play through a comp game where 3 people left and it was 2cp and we were defending against a full team, backfull wouldve been great, wouldve been nice to not get stomped and lose for no reason

The only way i can see this implemented is if the fillers do not loose sr and the team looses a lesser amount
Troll wouldnt be as incentivised to play as bad as there wouldnt be sr loss (if the troll cares^^) but in the other hand you wouldnt drive people away from it

just add a bot. problem solved. as long as it doesn’t run in solo it’s better than 80% of the ranked population.

I would say that is a good idea under one condition only.

The guy backfilling can’t have any SR loss whatsoever.

I have joined a clan and it has been the most rewarding experience I’ve had playing this game yet.

The system I proposed would still have a solo que and it would not allow groups. People who want to play solo would have the means to do so. However if there is a clan system and a LFG implemented then players would have multiple options to how they want to play. This would provide relief to all of the issues you have brought up and would give players much more choice.

All backfill would do to comp is make it into a larger gong show then it is now. The problem people have with the system as it stands now is the random element. Introducing another random element to fix the problem would only exasperate the issue.
