Competitive is worse than qp again

There are 0 coms.
No one works together to create team comps.
Overwatch is suppose to be this moba based on team work but the mm and game mechanics dont promote friendships grouping or team work.

It is not the communitys fault it sits entirety on the devs shoulders.

The game should foster friendships and teamwork but instead it fosters all the worst parts of human indecency and toxicity.

I remember first starting ow playing tracer and searching for a good Zayra to group with. But sadly grouping does just not work in ow. Instead we all solo q and fight every single game or do not even join coms and have a game that is wayyy worse then qp.

The devs have not given the community what it has asked for since beta a skillful game that promotes teamwork and friendship building.

Can you imagine project titan under the current devs. It would be a mmo that has a linear single player base line with one or 2 dungons where players yelled at eachother constantly due to lack of stats grabbing loot and not sharing and no incentive to work together at all

I couldn’t agree with you more…I have had games where we won and people were still being toxic because almost everyone was off-meta picks. The funny thing is too that I’m sure people are really nice but this game literally brings out the worst. All the emotions come to the surface because this game breeds frustration and anger, not friendship and team work.

It’s like if you’re at work and everyone is doing their job but you have the one or two clowns doing what ever they want so the rest of the team has to pick up for their slack…no one wants to work with people like that…the same goes for this game and because of that even the best of us get frustrated

Hahaha i think you just explained socialism with no incentive structure

It is ENTIRELY the community’s fault.

As long as we refuse responsibility for how we treat each other and blame everything on anyone or any thing else, nothing will change.

You reap what you sow.

Why do you play team game then, it doesnt make sense at all lol.

Because he doesn’t recognize anyone in this community’s authority to gatekeep how or why he plays a video game.

Agreed, completely.

It isn’t Blizzard devs who get into games and start acting like ignorants children.

The sad part is the ignorant children I refer to sound like 20 year olds trying to be edgy because ā€˜not caring’ is the way to go these days.

It’s why i always laugh when people say they hate playing with young kids in overwatch.

It ain’t the young kids that are the problem.

I dont even remember a kid to be toxic, yes they are little bit too much excited about what is happenening in match, but thats all. Kids are like that. I played with a lot of them and mostly its good experinece and I am 35.

Grown up childish like acting people and emotialy unstabble and toxic people are the worst.

Entirely the communitys vault. Ever checked out the new player experience in this game? The amount of self education that has to be done to even just gasp the mechanics we all kinda sorted out by now? Not banning ppl that refuse to learn and letting almost anyone start out at gold instead of a system like for example, league? Entirely the community, ofc. With this rubbish attitude and whiteknighting of devs, nothing will change in another 3 years, we can talk about a combined effort that must be done, but entirely the communitys fault is BS

Thank you for proving my point.

For 4 years really… all they had to do was make grouping clans teams viable. You make me sick

Toxic people don’t change, only the excuses they make for their behavior.

You’re making yourself sick.

Not to mention clans might not make it better. It has the potential but not 100% going to work. I used to hang around a group of people that comp but as time passed it was getting uneasy being near them as they made inappropriate jokes. Over time you learn that people aren’t always as great as they seem.

Not to mention there is the off chance that they queue as 5 just to make their 1 random suffer. My friend tried to solo queue and ran into multiple instances of their team blaming him when it was someone in their stack that was the issue. But no he was their scapegoat.

I hate how much of an adult/boomer I sound like, even though technically I am a millennial, and I don’t let it bother me too much… but it reads like meme-culture anger. I don’t even care about how it effects me when some college kid comes on comms and starts saying the dumbest crap I have ever heard… but it’s how thoughtlessly stupid it makes them look in the process. Like, I feel sorry for them, kid or adult. I know some people have their reasons. What’s worse is the other people snickering or egging them on in comms like what they said/did is actually funny… Like I guess the circumstance is good for a flighty chuckle but for the most part you just look poor… you’re not really doing much else but make yourself look bad and I don’t get it. I sound like a stick in the mud, but I reeeeeeeeeee with my group of friends as much as the next kid. Just with mild restraint and knowing when to and when not to… but apparently not conforming to social norms is the next cool thing to do even if it makes you look completely the opposite of how you are trying to appear. In the end it’s their name they are making look stupid, not mine so I guess it doesn’t matter.

I guess it’s just a place for them to act out however they want without limitations or borders… I dunno, they still look dumb.

I suggest you to google ā€œMOBAā€ and see which games are there (hint: Overwatch is not).

Game mechanics and mm has nothing to do with people being toxic and self entitled. I am actually glad that no system can force players to be nicer or friendlier and instead, it gives a freedom of behavior and exposes ā€œtrue faceā€ of players.

If you ask me, people online are rather similar in real world.

There are usualy coms in comp, there is almost never anyone speaking in qp.

People in qp doesnt care about team comp, people in ranked do care like 50% games.

I agree with this, but its hard, more in game freedom will generate more toxicity. Then need to add clan/guild system so you can find players to play with more easy.

Not true, i play with people in duo sometimes and fir certain heroes it works better than solo q.

Devs gaves us many things we asked for.

Idk where you got that, but plenty of people play in premade groups. Do most people just soloq? Yeah probably, but you have the option to find a group on Discord, Reddit, Forums and so many other places.

Yesterday I was yoloing on Hog being toxic beyond any acceptable standard. Then this group of three nice lads add me and even if my rank doesn’t go up a single SR point I have the best experience of overwatch in the last year.
So to put it simply you can’t make a team based game with randoms. You don’t go to a soccer field with a bunch of strangers, not knowing how they even intend to play their role.
The premises in this game are demented. Indeed the higher you go the more toxic the people are and entitled. The anxiety for grinding is so big and the solo q enviroment is a toxicity breeding machine.
We didn’t need role q. We needed MANDATORY grouping to play ranked. But no. People playing games are weirdos and antisocial lonewolves, rejects that are just there to buy a product designed like an addictive drug. It’s the same reason why party drinking is way more fun with buddies, but the fancy clubs are gonna be structured in a way that you are gonna end up alone and consume way more alcohol than you need to balance for the lack of an healthy social environment where your spirit can thrive.
This push on consume in every aspect of society is appalling and politics closed both eyes and more about these issues, making you seriously wonder if they even bother or they are no more than a puppet of financial interest pulled in every single string to achieve the complete deconstruction of society to ensure the whacky businesses of the few against the many.
