Competitive is the worst thing ever, especially in elo hell

I honestly regret posting this after looking back at it. This was one year ago and I’m sorry for causing unneeded drama. I’m trying to get this post deleted so my conscience can be free in a way.

The circle logic of being stuck in Elo Hell is that everyone is stuck in Elo Hell which means every SR is Elo Hell. Those that aren’t stuck in Elo Hell are the ones that don’t believe in Elo Hell, which by direct definition of this community who uses the forums to express their complaints and concerns, no one like that exists.

ELO Hell does not exist. It’s a team game, so you’re reliant not only on how well you play, but your team as well.

It’s more than just “git gud”, but if you’re losing 300SR, then there’s a common denominator there. Take a break, go for a walk, come back to Overwatch when you’re calmed down.

The only one “making” you lose is you.

Stop blaming other people for your unwillingness to improve.

You’re a Silver player.

No, this isn’t like other games. OW is so team dependant you can’t even win when someone in your team is throwing. Personal impact is almost non-existent. You could get 40+ Elims, 17k+ damage and still lose because one guy in the team is tilted. It’s not like CS or Rainbow Six etc. where you can carry games.

Thanks you have a very keen eye. This isn’t my main account. But you’re free to be a skeptic. I won’t care. The point still stands.

Oh, so you’re smurfing or throwing to be lower ranked? That’s great! Nice community lmfao

I have several accounts on one of my accounts I had very good games and on this account I had extremely bad games today.
I lost 11 out of 12 games and every game was extremely crappy and well below the SR I have on my other account. I had throwers in some games. In almost every game we were already beaten by the team composition itself.
The opponent almost always had a perfect team and played Bunker. In our team we had in the best case a Reinhardt and 2 healers.
That is certainly no coincidence.
If Blizzard is experimenting with the matchmaker, they should tell us.

Anyway, that was the worst gaming experience I’ve had in 15 years today. (I played The Division on release day.)
Such problems do not exist in any other online multiplayer game, I have played many of them in the past.

I don’t think Blizzard’s philosophy and strategies are right when it comes to e-sports and secret matchmaking algorithms.

I want to know why I lost all games on this account today and why I will win almost all of my games tomorrow. This is a regularity that can be observed by many players in recent weeks. You can read about it here on the forums.

I don’t care about the rank, I want to have fun in the game and I don’t have it because of this very strange matchmaking.

If anyone could explain this to me, I’d appreciate it a lot.

Hey, this account isn’t my main either. No one has a main account, just a bunch of alt/smurf accounts. Wait, just smurf accounts. Everyone is a smurf. The top 12% of the player base is diamond or higher, but every low level account is a smurf account.

what if this is my main? remember me ;)? i suddenly became diamond crazy and we are like maybe top 20% percent of the player base, top 12% is like masters

I’ve been in diamond, too. Crazy.

The numbers JK sent out said 14% of the player base is diamond and above.

Masters is top 3 percent

that percentile is like from season 4 or 6. Undoubtly with more casual players leaving and commited players improving diamond is a larger rank now then at that time.

Doubtful it’s a bell curve if anything casual players leaving means many people in higher brackets dropping to lower brackets
