I don’t know if it’s because I’m playing during the last week of the season or if it’s because I’m solo queuing or if it’s just drives that are ruining it, but this is just awful. Like you can’t even enjoy hero bans because when I ban the person who I hate to play against, another one just takes their spot (e.g. banning Ashe let’s Pharah into the game).
I tried my hardest to play as many as I could to complete drives, but I barely made it to 2250 comp coins so I could get the galactic gun skin next season. I made it to the third checkpoint and had played enough games to earn the extra 250 I need + 750 hitting diamond.
I could win one more game and get the second title, but I’m not subjecting myself to that anymore. I don’t understand why people would want to play this.
God no. Comp is basically just regular Overwatch, which I have some control over, but Stadium makes the character I’m most comfortable with just complete garbage. It also makes the characters I don’t like playing against x20 stronger.
That is actually horrible. Like why would you subject yourself to that? Why wouldn’t it be a bonus at the end of the season instead of replacing the reward for reaching a certain rank?
They’re really good at removing all incentives from playing the game, these devs.

People only use comms to complain in my games. It’s dead silent until about 2/3rds of the match when someone starts complaining about xyz not doing enough.
Maybe it’s just EU servers, but I have not had the same experience.
No, but it’s incredibly annoying to try and kill her on any other hitscan when she has a pocket Mercy (aside from maybe Widow who is also banned 90% of the time). It also doesn’t help that the pocket Mercy has a pocket support, the enemy tank has infinite damage reduction, and the other enemy DPS is playing from ten miles away spamming me with damage anytime I look up to kill the Pharah.
You can also be a Moba Tank or DPS Destroy Bot there too
Reaper is interesting. He has all his abilities shrunk down into smaller, chained-together combo chunks. Ive never played as him but Ive seen him in action.
Not really. His abilities are genuinely insulting with how bad they are.
There’s an entire ability slot being wasted on “Having quieter footsteps.”
For one, it’s ridiculous because all it does is reduce the audio to normal levels instead of removing them entirely. What’s the point of picking it if all it does is make me as audible as everyone else.
For two, it shows that they recognize how ridiculously loud Reaper’s base audio is and that they understand it’s enough of an issue for it to be an ability choice. Instead of fixing it in the base game, they chose to slap Reaper players in the face with this card to mock them.
And that’s just one of his bad abilities. His best ability allows him to refresh his cooldowns upon elims, which is probably what you thought was him chaining abilities together. Of course, Reaper isn’t getting any buffs next season either, so I will not be playing that game-mode at all.
Not everyone absolutely hates playing the game. And if people just want the comp pts, drives is pretty much as fast as it’s ever been. Rest of the season takes much much longer.
