This way of matching group in Competitive is too messy, no matter what I do I always loose straight and the opponent is always too strong and my group is always a loosing team… I started this season with 2130 and in just one sitting is go down 1821 and now Im 1704… mess in a sense the other is either too strong and notice all of them have a winning streak. I hate Overwatch controlling the Game.

Or maybe u just played badly considering the matchmaking is random and u are the only consistent variable in ur games? Sure every now and then u may have gotten a thrower/leaver or the enemy had a smurf , but 400 SR? Im doubtful.

Just shut up. I drop and climb 500 plus SR over and over again since season 1. You are delusional.

If you love OW so much, maybe don’t sabotage peoples’ legitimate concerns. The game will be in a much better place if they took out hidden MMR to stop forcing streaks. Intentional or not, the system snowballs upon itself.

This line of thought works only with more or less steady conditions.
Something this game isn’t providing. This can also result in chaos btw. if they keep butchering any means to properly measure a persons skill level.
What makes it worse is the match prediction and its effect on SR.
I noticed that you play on PSN, it seems as if the player amount is low compared to the past. This might explain matches being onesided.

There are no streaks. It is completely random. If you play against higher sr players, u will lose less/gain more. If u play against low sr players u will lose more/gain less. If im 2500 and lose to teams 100 sr below me consistently, then the MMR will have decided it has placed me wrong, simple as that. If I truly belong where I was I will get back there. Streaks arent forced upon you.

This is exactly why I tell you to shut up. You just said streaks aren’t forced then say the MMR will have decided it placed you wrong. Which implies it’s going to force losses upon you. Just stop. The game I play, there is zero skill difference between 2000 and 2900. I get to plat then fall to 2000 every single season and reclimb again. When you’re winning, you’re winning, when you’re losing you’re losing. I’ve read thousands of posts on here and reddit saying the exact same thing.
The game is fairly matched for diamond and above. Plat and below is 100% luck. You win and your stats start getting padded and the system sends you up. You get unlucky once or twice in a row with leavers , trolls, smurfs, etc. and the system says your stats aren’t up to par we’re going to drop you 200 sr. At this point, you are less likely to care about comp and you will likely tilt and both intentionally and unintentionally throw. Then you freefall down even more because the matchmaker uses your stats to judge you with zero consideration of why your stats have been garbage for 10-20 games. Because the system keeps putting you on BS teams.
After a while you finally reach a point where no matter how unfair the system tries to match teams for you, you can solo carry so hard for a couple games where you get 80 plus elims and on fire for 10 minutes then the system says oh crap he doesn’t belong here and you go on a massive win streak where the people your facing are 20x worse than all the people who were destroying you at 500 SR below. Rinse and repeat.
Blizzard’s claims on matchmaking don’t add up. Furthermore, on one hand they deny streaks or forced wins and losses. On the other hand, Jeff said in one of the earlier seasons that they changed the matchmaker to make it less streaky. Which means there’s something in the system that does force streaks and they literally tried to make it less streaky. Just straight up lies. Seriously. “Hey guys our system doesn’t force anything it just matches people by ping and as close to 50% chance to win as possible.” Then, “we adjusted the system to make it less streaky.” Just LOL. Not only that, they are straight up saying they do know how to predict chance of winning and losing.
Whenever the matchmaker actually stops forcing me up or down, I have a long streak of close, fair matches. It is after I overperform or underperform after a stretch of fair matches that the system does it’s BS again. They literally know how to make fair games but choose not to.

I managed to lose 700-800 SR and win it back in one weekend a few seasons ago. Pretty hard to tilt that much though, usually I just lose a few hundred SR when playing with IRL friends that’s trash and uncarriable. However I’ve never really cared much when losing a few hundred SR as it’s easy to win it back.
Well if you look at my profile, it will show that I have gotten as high as 2900 in 3 separate seasons and reach plat in most seasons but I keep going down to 2000 every season. 2000 is the point where I can hard carry regardless of circumstance. Then I go back up and when I win it’s usually like a 500 SR climb all at once just destroying everyone while not even fully paying attention. I’m telling you that the seesaw nature of the matchmaker is the single reason why everyone in low ranks complain about smurfs, etc. The quality of the matches are not consistent because players are randomly fluctuating SR all the time.

MMR works in your favour if you’re a good player, play above your skill level and it boosts you through the ranks by making you gain more SR and lose less, everybody keeps complaining about MMR and how its the devil but its the thing that quickly ranks up smurfs to their proper rank much faster

Lolz dude you got another thing coming when you get there, I’ve never seen more smurfs and with the smaller player-bass the matchmaking is worse, but for some reason its almost always lower ranks complaining about these things, curious, curious indeed.

MMR does not work in your favor if you’re a smart player…only when you’re stupid enough to believe something like that
…only when youre placed miles below your rank…then it works in your favor…it is one of the main sources of revenue since it promotes smurfing and sales of the game…which it why it will not get fixed… All it does is promote purchases of secondary accounts and trolling the lower ranks.
I played 10 consecutive competitive games, 4 of those is because somebody quit even were winning, 3 of those are crappy people laughing and when I found out they try to suicide and jumping in the water abd never play. 2 game is serious but exhanging word by team makes us loose. 1 Game is solid and were just not that lucky… I climb up to 2207 and afraid to play again because of frustration of loosung streak, were about to win somebody sabotage it. But I also notice that most often I team up with trashes and against superior. At the of the day my 2207 my score went down to 1708. I notice that i team up with looser again and again and if you see familiar player that is true blue idiots i cannot do anything to get out of the play ( or penalize). This is always happen to my play. If more player that idiotic in playing better in their side just enjoy the game, no stress, no worries and make a mess WHO CARES!!!
And game would be much better without toxic people like you who are spreading nonsense like forced streaks.

Do like a lot of people do right now and just don’t buy or support them in any fashion until they change to more favorable situations that you deem worth supporting. I no longer have any subs or purchases as of recent and play only once in awhile.
There’s definitely something off with matchmaker at times.
On the way down I was finding games at 1700 impossible to win as I was consistently teamed with idiots. On my way back up (after fluffing my Mmr) I got super easy games with great team mates, and even won a 5v6 (due to dc) that would have been a guaranteed stomp win otherwise. It was clear that matchmaker had set my team up to win that game.
And season 14 I got a super easy streak of 10 games to 2450 that I could have been afk and still won.
I don’t understand why we can’t just match via Sr (need to account for decay of course) and avoid all the over complication that leads to stomp games and people clearly boosted or held back.
