We used to get icons and sprays, permanently for each season
Now we’re gonna get name plates that resets.

Idk who even thought this is a good idea to increase ranked mode retention.
Looks like they learned nothing from the temporal rank titles so lets do it again.

If they didn’t then anyone would be max level in the matter of a few seasons.
secondly they are mostly their as a secondary reward system to give you comp points. So reseting such means you can bank those rewards over and over agaion.
Thirdly their is unique titles and other rewords that come with maxing such out, that stay with you.

I feel this might actually have the reverse effect overall. If you just care about a weapon, you can hypothetically throw your rank and just grind a weekend which will save you dozens of hours. And most people only need their weapon on one or two heroes. That obviously endorses a seasonal ritual.
I am not saying developers need to be afraid to make any changes based on a crowd that will exploit it, but this one seems excessively damaging for no real discernable benefit.

I mean they can keep your tag in like your stat history page, for the level you maxed at on that season or so.
And you get other rewards for upgrading such.
It’s more or less a mini-battle pass sort of a deal. for extra comp points and a tittle.
Be it you both are also complaining about a small little mini detail isn’t impacting anything else.
Like your associating so much value over a name plate. And whining that it doesn’t stick around between seasons. When it’s designed to be a mostly linear upgrade system for bonus points that you can spend on shiny weapons.
As it stands now it just a mark for your commitment to the mode, showing your a dedicated comp player for any given season.
I wonder if they’re trying to get people to try ranked and see it’s not so scary

I mean like the battle-pass starting at 1 every season.
Were the point is the rewards it gives, more so then having a fancy number to show off. Which the secondary to what it’s actually designed for.
That small little detail took dev time and money and is intending to increase player retention, it’s completely worth criticizing.

key word is small, because they ultimately don’t want players their to just grind the mode if they don’t want to be their. Ye old “golden guns were a mistake” sort of a deal.
if they made it a permeant reward you ultimately would have people their to fill in just to get it for their collection, and instead of actually playing the mode as intended.
Which is something the devs expressed against wanting to encourage.
Sadly, this is not the same company… Also, top 500 used to get animated season sprays to show off 
that’s not me, though.
Their servers cannot store more than one pattern. Or maybe their programmers do not know how to. Gotta understand that this is a small indie company.

They should had done this event earlier in the season just for they going to remove it…
Not to mention that, after doing all that grinding, I’m rewarded with the insignia of someone who’s got 8 fewer years of military experience. That’s the main reason I don’t want it.
