Competitive CTF Top 500 rewards

Hey there!

Stupid question, but if you reached Top 500, will you get the rewards if you dropped out of it on the end of the CTF Comp season?

I happened to reach 4230ish rank there (Place 250 something), but got put against a 4-stacking Top-10 team or put in the same team as someone with rank 3300 in CTF Comp (I don’t even know how it’s possible) and unfortunately dropped out after getting stomped all evening. It would be my first Top 500, and I’m just curious will I have to grind myself up again or something (I’m really sad that I dropped out, too).

Yeah you need to end in the t500.

God hope I can get back to Top500 then. I really hate how the matchmaking in it sucks.

Just so you know too, in regular competitive, the boundary for the top 500 usually raises up 100sr or so during the final week as people jump in to get their rewards.

I’m not sure if that holds true with comp arcade, but all the same, probably best to not be just on the border.

Alright, good to know: I dropped from 4170 to 3995, got back up to GM at least and ended with 4020 at the end of the day I think. I used to be something like rank 300 when I started playing yesterday.

I feel really bad, I wanted to make sure I stayed in Top500 but got put in teams where my teammates were rank 3300 or lower, trolls and people who never joined voice comms when my enemy team was a 4-stack of people who were in top-100 or top-10. Worst part is that I saw some people climb from rank 450 to rank 60 in that evening - and I kept just getting lower and lower. :frowning:
