If I remember correctly in overwatch 1 we had a 6k comp point cap but end of season rewards tacked onto it. My question is, do we still have that cap on comp points? I currently have 2.4k legacy comp points and was thinking of grinding to get more current comp points to transfer them into legacy comp points so I can continue getting more golden guns for new heroes.
i also have like 2k points sitting in limbo legacy credits… it’s weird they won’t let you use them to buy gold guns.
no idea on a cap but I also currently got 5.2k new credits so in total I’m over 6k if that’s what you’re asking?
If you click on info for comp points it says that comp points convert to legacy points ‘at the end of a competitive year’ - I got no idea when that is but assume it just means your points will convert to legacy on a particular date once a year… suppose you wanna min/max this moment you should either stop earning points when you hit 600, or spend your points until you are at or above 600 before this point dump happens at the end of the year?

That is exactly what I’m asking, I can transfer my current comp points into legacy. I had like 15k of legacy so I spent them on every new hero. I wasn’t sure if it would cap at 6k but since you’re over 6k I can grind a lot and not buy any jade
Edit the current comp points we can currently use will transfer into legacy. They transfer next season
good to know… and FYI in case you didn’t know you can still buy gold guns using NEW comp points - you don’t have to save 15k or w/e you’re talking about. you can just use 3k new tokens to buy gold guns. you just can’t COMBINE old and new to buy a gold
Sorry for the late reply, I haven’t been on the forum. Before they got rid of the end of season rewards I had something like 15k legacy comp points and that ran out with hazard leaving me with 2.4k so what I was talking about was getting the new/current comp points and then convert them into legacy so I can get new heroes golden while getting the new variant for older heroes. I already have everyone golden due to a bug at launch with ow2 that gave me 30k comp points when I booted up the game (no complaints on my end) have a nice day/night and happy new year
