I’m sick of the game ending after someone leaves. Just use backfill like in QP.

As long a sit doesn’t cost the backfiller any SR sure.
But then what is to keep people from just sitting in a backfill queue…probably why they don’t do it.
The problem isn’t backfill it is trolling.
Why would anyone want to backfill your comp game.

Imagine how many people will load into 1 sided matches with no time to turn things around, or worse, loading into a defeat

No, it reaaaaaaaaaaaaally doesnt need one.
If you wanna have that system go play qp. (Backfill is already broken in there)
And btw, you can still win 5vs6 games, dont throw tantrums & say gg just cause of someone leaves right after. You can also climb that sr back.
There is also a competitive reason why backfilling does not exist. If a team that is effectively winning and the other team has a leaver, then a backfill comes in and somehow carries the match, this would leave the original team without the leaver feeling like they got ripped off a fair match (even if the backfilled player has a similar SR).
In short, when you are paired into a competitive match, that is suppose to be the most fair match at the time the match was created. Leavers do affect the remaining outcome of that match, but that is a uncontrolled change.
I woudnt penalize them for lozing
but if they win give them free SR
