Well … you guys wanted Role Queue even though it created more problems than it solved so, enjoy! (yes, I get to say I told you so)
Ironically it was made to be more “fair” SR wise and as you can see, it achieved the opposite:
Matches are more uneven than ever and you have often people from 3-4 different ranks in the same match.
Since playerbase is shrinking fast, this issue is only going to go worse. Cant wait for 5v5

Being 3.8 tank and 2.7 support is hardly surprising.
what role were they playing? Support?
just because someone is good at another role doesn’t mean they’ll be good at another
I’ve seen GM DPS mains who are low diamond as tank… so…
I have a friend who is GM support main and she is a high gold DPS.
So this ranking especially with the fact it’s not a smurf doesn’t faze me at all.

I feel so sorry for DPS lol, and they are chopping away a tank for OW2… I bet it’s barely gonna make a difference after the first 6 months once all the hype etc has fully gone.

i’ll bet you $20 that once OW2 comes out, a ton of people will play tank to test it out and 97% of the tank players will go play dps and spike up the queue times to 10+ minutes

this isn’t a issue of rolequeue, because this issue was here even before roleq. This is a mm and a problem that blizz refuse to address, people should be able to queue only with people in the same rank. not a diamond that q with a plat or gold (because high chance he was premade with someone).
the diamond was in dps role, with 3800 exp in tank.

Maybe you didnt play at the time mate but I can assure you, as a High Plat/Low Diamond player Ive NEVER had low gold or high silver dudes in my games. This is something role queue brought 100%.
Then when I go Tanking, I get placed with Masters due to Tank being the most needed role. This didnt happen AT ALL before RQ.
Not even as a “weird” occasion. Nope.

No, it isn’t. I’ve had masters in my games when I was high plat before role queue.

I have to question your memory then because profiles were open and that didnt happen 100%.
On a 2800 AVG match, you didnt get multiple 1900 dudes on both teams and sometimes a 3200 etc.
It just didnt happen, sorry. You can repeat it ad nauseam but doesnt make it true 
Masters can’t even queue with plats if they party up. Too big rating difference.

But you could get gold player and diamonds in one game before role q as well. I know because i was that gold player solo q in to diamond team…
But game could always put people in one team that could not party together anyway so 
Sure but then again, they specifically mentioned they increased the gap of the SR difference to make matches start faster with Role Queue. Because otherwise with the “ideal settings” the DPS on gold would be waiting 26-30mins etc.
Again, you can say this did happen before but not as brutally bad as it is now.

I think they didnt even done much to make gap bigger, jsut that before match maker simply had more to pick from.
And brutality of it depends if you are on receving end of it, i got quite some of those games before as well. I guess my bad rng was part of overwatch match maker as well.
This has been happening to me too, I’m plat level. But it seems to have just started happening. I can’t recall ever being grouped with players more than a few hundred off in SR until now. Not sure why, I assumed it was because the playerbase is so small now the matchmaker doesn’t have any other option. Worth noting, I regularly play with or against the same people multiple matches in a row. That’s never happened before either.
I’m in a super average bracket. If Plat doesn’t have enough players to make fast matches that says alot about the state of the game.

Except they are probably not that far apart. I doubt they are more than 600SR apart and quite frankly the difference between 2.3k and 3k is much smaller than the difference between 3k and 3.4k
