I’m done with playing comp and I’m taking a break from this game, Blizzards does not know how to fix characters nor its competitive side of this game. Its extremely frustrating to play comp and enjoy when you have people who throw, don’t play serious, and give no team communication that goes positive. This games player base is terrible in comp.

I can give you recommendations on how to improve your Overwatch competitive experience. This isn’t a guarantee, but this is what personally works for me as a Plat tank main.

First, I use the LFG feature and always use the filter to select voice coms only search.

Second, I look for the green +100 to +150 SR difference. Pass on the 200 SR difference groups.

Third, I check out the group title names. I look for titles like, Voice coms, public profile, try-hard, ext.

Fourth, I check profiles upon entering to make sure players have experience on their role.

Fifth, I try to join groups who have 2 tanks, 2 healers, and 2 flex, but don’t lock in roles. This is because these groups will be able to flex properly in situations where it is needed. Sometimes you want 3 tanks, 3 supports, sometimes you may want 3 tanks 1 dps 2 supports. It’s good to be able to have the freedom to evaluate and adjust when needed.

Sixth, I say “Hi” and try to get the group talking. I do this because I want to make sure they are on coms, and want to get a feel for what they sound like. Believe it or not, you can actually spot someone who might be toxic just in the first few things they say. I immediately leave the group if they sound immature, or sound like they might tilt easily.

Sixth, (this is because I’m a tank main) I ask the other tank which tank role he prefers to play, main or off… this gives the group early confidence and understanding we are going to have good ult synergy.
And that’s about it. I have a pretty good record playing, and it’s been because of the LFG feature. I don’t mind waiting longer on the queue times if it means I’m getting quality games. And if the enemy team has a smurf, at my rank, players seem smart enough to stack counters to adjust (might not be the case for gold players).
The nice thing about Plat rank, is players seem to main a role, apart for having only a few heroes they play. This helps tremendously when dealing with a smurf, or just putting together a really good team for synergy.

“In all ranks” or just your rank? I haven’t had much problems in comp, as long as people are willing to work together. Which goes up when you climb higher.
top500/GM comp is pretty good rn
Or y’know… maybe you just got thrown into a match with players who need to get good and thought it was a good idea to brag about it in the forums.
It seems like your post is almost like an aftermath of having a bad match in comp mode.
