I am the point in this game which I dont care at all about my SR. But the fact that I go in this cycle of winning a bunch of games followed by losing a bunch because my teammates are fresh off the short bus is infuriating. It is misery that I start every game hoping to see signs that “my punishment” is over… When I quickly realize that its not, I quickly become part of the problem. I play a random hero, dont care about the team, and cannot wait for the match to end.
The fact that I am even here making a post shows that I have been a huge fan of this game and thought it had massive potential, but the product that is comp is utter garbage… People deny, defend, and excuse all of the issues, but that is complete nonsense… the MM is terrible and there are so many variables pumped in to control the experience it is laughable. YES!! Jeff, I am paranoid! Because the alternative is that I would be oblivious.

If you can’t handle the stress that is competitive then go play arcade or quick play. They are there for a reason
how many sr do you gain per win? i just lost 60 after 1 loss… lol this game really comes to a point where it has no use at all anymore.
You gain/lose an average of 20 to 25 SR. If you left a game prior to losing that match then that’s why you lost 60 SR
i left after the match was finished though. and i never got a cooldown for ‘‘leaving a game’’ .
Sounds you were playing when you were tired. usually I lose a few hundred SR if I play when tired vs gain a few hundred when I am fresh.
You’re not paranoid, you’ve simply observed the flaws in the matchmaking system, everyone knows it’s bad.

You shouldn’t care about rank or numbers.
You never should have.
The system is an illusion.
Ask yourself “what about this is truly competitive?”
And be honest with yourself, and if you are you’ll see that there is absolutely nothing competitive.
Everyone gets the points towards the gold weapon skins. Everyone gets bulk points at the end.
There is nothing to compete for. All it takes is time and effort to get the skins.
Everyone gets the season sprays.
The only thing you need to do to get the skins is to win.
That isn’t competition.
Play the game for fun and that’s about it. The rest is meaningless.

This is the point, my friend… It’s simply not fun to play in the games in which you are being rolled back in SR. I’d gladly take a 200SR loss to not get the streak of games which it seems to be stacked against you.
For that matter, I dont even want the games that seem to be stacked FOR you.

You lost 60 because you just started playing comp. With new accounts sr gain or loss is much more drastic.
What’s that coming over the hill, is it Observer-expectancy bias, is it a monsteeeeer?

I just give up on competitive Theresa is no reward and the mm is terrible un ps4. Now I’m just throphy Huntington but Sincé last week fortnite have become my game to play, is sad cause I really love overwatch but can’t handle the frustation and anger I get in competitive
The best solution to anger, it’s simply don’t put emotion in the game. Just play. Whatever happens just happens.
The only impact it can have is the impact you give it.
Turn off chat, both voice and text, and just enjoy the game.
There’s no reason to listen to the abusive people, there’s no reason to care about the rank or numbers, just enjoy the game for what it is.
Sometimes it’s chaos, sometimes it’s not.
It’s all in the mindset.
I can only imagine the pressure you put on yourself if you get angry at the game.
You cannot do that and stay healthy.
Don’t worry about what you think you are doing, just play.
You cannot control the other 11 players, you can control only you.
Don’t fall into the trap thinking that any of the ranks or numbers have any value what so ever.
It doesn’t matter what others say or do.
Just have fun. That’s the point to the game.

I have very good times un the game bit also the worst so it was wise and healthy yo leave competitive. The problem besides toxic players is in the core of the game design. There is no reward for NOTHING just exp and you have to grind like a mule to get a box that is why QP is unplayable sometimes. People play just for the exp lose or win is the same and it has become worst in competitive since there is nothing to get besides gold guns which proof nothing. at least youre winning some? so far today and yesterday im at 2-7. half of the losses no one wanted to use voice chat, the other half just werent good. as a support main, it doesn’t matter how godly my heals are, my success relies entirely on the rest of the team to be good.

I play for the lulz and mostly record cheaters. Some pretty good suites are out and apparently they are bypassing blizzards attempt to control cheats. Why am I not surprised?
Like I said in another thread, it is the most incapable game dev I have ever seen and I feel terribly sorry for spending money on 2 accounts for this game. But I guess it’s too late for that, I’ve been scammed. GG EZ Clap Blizzard. Well done. Hope you buy yourself some meds with my money, lul.
Think I may give up on comp until lfg and guilds set up and game can be played properly. Had some cracking qp games in 5 stack tonight. And, oddly, the games feel fairer. And there’s actually better team comps and coordination than in comp.
Also get to be smashed by some great players. Enemy Mccree wrecked us tonight. Turns out he was a 3.6k master player is season 9, that Mained Mcree. He hadn’t placed season 10 yet. (I notice that a lot lately). Still a close game though as others on his team not so good.
In another game got wrecked by a diamond Widow with 52% scoped accuracy (Widow main with 100 hours on her) and diamond enemy Lucio got POTG with a mad triple boop out of nowhere. And the funny thing was that we won first round, 2nd round was close and just 3rd round we got stomped.
Why are qp games vs. Teams including Diamonds and masters closer than supposedly super fair comp games?
In silver comp I get crap team comps and whether I lose or not depends on which team has more idiots, feeders or smurfs in it.
