Comp adventures

I am silver (last I played comp like 4 or 5 season ago) and with my eyesight getting worst and worst every year I am on my definitely on my way to bronze I reckon…

I don’t mind, I like gold guns

Anyway since we got 2-2-2 (less performance stress) and “while you wait” (less reason NOT to play comp) I played comp again a bit today… For some reason the game seemed to think I was gold (gave me performance anxiety…)

Anyway the funny thing was…
In all my games… every one sounded so depressed… like “I hate that game”, why do they even play it? :open_mouth:

I mean I am used to people complaining on the forum or being toxic in game… but that was worst… and strange… :open_mouth:

Anyway that was just one evening… will play more and see how it goes!?
Perhaps, hopefully, I will meet some cheerful team mate in the future? :open_mouth:

well once you see nice people just add them … or mute voice chat… on EU people dont use voice that often… works pretty good.

I mean I have only been playing QP the last … 10 (?) seasons because well I did find nice people and they don’t like comp…
But we are like all over overwatch, so many are not playing much anymore… and was just planning to do a bit of comp for fun… (yeah, yeah, I know, fun and Overwatch don’t mix)

Anyway I was ready from some toxicity… but this amount of despair instead… feels like new! :open_mouth:
(And sad in a new bad way! )
Oh well… let’s hope it was just an outlier bad night, haha  :open_mouth:

That kinda makes sense. The people who have some strange enjoyment from being yelled at / yelling at others are the ones who actually stay in comp. While people who don’t like putting way too much stress into their video-game-that-doesn’t-actually-matter stop playing comp after some time and just go back to QP. Where the game is actually… you know… enjoyable. XD

I can get better at the game without some rank number telling me so, and have fun doing it at the same time, thanks.

(Actually, the rank number is relative anyway. People will think they’re not getting better because their virtual little rank number doesn’t rise, but actually it just means they’re improving at the same pace as most others. d: )

Hahah… that’s a fun way to describe what might be the root of the problem!
