I was messing around with the controls in my game trying the new hero and needed to reset to default. After I did this I was unable to change my commination wheel options. I would change the drop-down menu to edit the wheel and when I would check in game the changes would not have applied and my com wheel settings would be reset.
I was just about to report the same issue, you are not alone! I changed my keybindings for the new hero, except I mistakenly hit “reset to default” instead of “delete override” but with the same outcome as you of course. It’s just the communication wheel for whatever reason. I tried to work around it but it’s completely bugged out - when I click on a character it will try to do an override I never set but I am unable to “delete override”
Fixes I tried but ultimately caused no change:
-Updating my graphics driver
-Uninstalling and reinstalling the game
-Giving administrative perms to the overwatch file
-In the launcher, I completely reset all game settings to default and manually put my settings back in-game to see if starting fresh would help
When I reset ALL settings, weirdly enough, the communication controls SPECIFICALLY never reset to default, they stayed to what I had them set before. Only the communication wheel is resetting to default without prompting

Having the same issue. I try to change the top of the wheel from emote to something else because I keep accidentally emoting at the worst times (PS5). But after I change it just keeps the default wheel in game…

Now my toggle mic mute is bugged. In-game it uses the default “m” even though it says in settings that it’s denoted as “mouse5”. At random occurrences my mouse button will work and then stop working and only “m” will work, and vice versa. 
Same issues as everyone else! I accidently reset all my settings when updating Lifeweaver’s controls and now i cant fix my wheel. So frustrating and is affecting gameplay. Hoping Blizzard sees this!

I just switched to PC from console and cannot change mine either.

You guys need to change to a hero in the Options Menu on the right side to then you change the wheel for this hero
also have this bug please fix devs thanks.

Nah you can normally customize the wheel for every hero AND for each hero individually
Same issue here, on PC if it makes a difference. Switching to an individual hero works partially, but I want to change the settings for all heroes.
I say that changing to an individual hero works partially due to this sequence:
- Select any hero
- Change at least one setting in the communications panel. You will notice your hero has an asterisk indicating that they have an override
- Go back to all heroes
- Change the same setting(s) you applied to the individual hero
- Go back to the hero you changed individually
- Hit Delete Override. You will notice that the settings are NOT restored to the same configuration you have for all heroes, but instead to the default settings for all heroes, and your hero is still shown as having an override.
The only way to revert this is to restore defaults for all heroes, and then deleting the override for your individual hero. Something is definitely off.

I am having the same issue here. I accidentally reverted all of my settings… 7 years of dialing in sensitivities and coms that are literally muscle memory at this point… all gone and I can’t change it back. Overwatch is literally unplayable for me until I can fix it. I use the com wheel for EVERYTHING. This sucks.
This is what happened to me! I was trying to make Lifeweaver, you know, PLAYABLE because my original custom overrides messed up his new mapping. Well, when I went to delete the override, I accidentally reset ALL settings to default and now I can’t change anything. OW is literally unplayable for me. 7 years of muscle memory reset to default.
Any keybinds will instantly revert. The only fix is to uninstall and reinstall or customize the keybinds INDIVIDUALLY FOR ALL 37 HEROES WHICH IS A BIT RIDICULOUS. pls fix this asap. communication is crucial in team based game. its been a problem since lifeweaver.

Same here, but my bug is somehow worse on top of the wheel not being able to be changed…it’s completely messed up my ping system to the point where when I die, I can’t ping the enemy. It only spams my respawn timer. THIS is a giant issue because it’s a huge disadvantage. PLEASE FIX
