Just wanted to put this out here. I’ve watched those videos they posted again, like background stories, cinematics, etc. And you can clearly see the moment the entire viewerbase just made a 180° and started bashing Blizzard. Rightfully, perhaps, but it’s the way we never even stopped that opens eyes.
From those comments just calling them out as ‘greedy’, to making jokes like “I enjoyed it when Reaper said BUY! BUY! BUUUUY!” And my personal favorite: A comment on OW’s German branch were one of the top comments just said:
“You [plural] have brought Overwatch to its grave.”
Sure, they also were collecting negative attention like infinity stones, but we were definitely not screwing around back then, were we?

Our game is a huge joke, truth be told.
However, I don’t like that people are bashing the devs for literally every change they do, good or bad.
-25 HP nerf to some heroes, for example. That’s a good change and has to happen across the board.

Some heroes need it, some don’t. “Mobile heroes have less health!” is stupid when some mobile heroes are underperforming already and they’re not going to do anything to make them viable.
Generalized balancing does not allow for nuance and is very stupid IMO

As should be.
Not harsh enough though if nothing changes.

They’re not harsh, they’re cringe. Lazily made by edgelords trying to be funny to their edgy friends lol

That’s pretty hilarious. Never heard that one before.
I have no clue, man. I have been a certified Debbie Downer since way before it was cool, but now I just vibe. I feel Overwatch Dos has only gotten better since launch.

That’s where I say, “consider that the S9 changes were a global change, when issues were not global”. Imagine if in S9, HP values and projectile sizes were only changed a little bit. It would have been a very effective change, and would have switched things up without making certain heroes useless. That’s why I’m of the opinion that these HP changes should happen, just across the board. It’s a correction on a global change that wasn’t needed.
Basically, they went too far with it, and broke the DPS and Support role. This is an opportunity to correct that mistake.
if anything we might as well end up walking back S9 health updates by slowly nerfing hp back to what it was and they can say “we are fixing the balancing” when in reality they are just reverting old changes… (like the armor)

Hope Marvel Rivals scares them into actually making the game better. Heard somewhere MR devs are even considering PVE down the line

Now I need Capitalism Reaper skin. Reaper dressed in a suit with a top hat and monocle carrying big shotgun-shaped credit cards and the particles he leaves behind are dollar signs instead of black fog

if anything, given their track record, they would be more likely to give him a fitness influencer skin with the red supreme cash guns

I think OW 2’s lowest point was when they announced the cancellation of pve, but it’s gotten better consistently since then.

Name me a modern multiplayer game thats not a joke?
The problem is the industry itself and how we incentive them to produce trash.

So competition is always good, but it has less to do with the devs and more so do to the money makers behind scenes willing to expand or maintain their current market.
The correct version of this would be “will it get MS to invest more into OW”
which they might already be doing, as they announced a while back their making a bunch of smaller “AA” games using Acti-blizz properties.
Well that’s because nobody reads those in any form of depth.
Sounds better than his Mythic skin lol.
Wraith form is him dropping money as he flees.
