I changed the options on my communication wheel (for all heroes, not just one), but for some reason, it isn’t applying to some heroes. For most it seems too, but it’s not applying for 6 heroes.
They are: Sigma, Genji, Hanzo, Kiriko, Lucio, and Moira.
The other 30 heroes it’s working correctly.
Any explanation or fix?
Consisten thing, intentional feature.
The Heroes which didn’t retreive their Comm wheel setup from the “All Heroes” setting have changes in their Hero specific settings which aren’t the norm.
Setting categories that differ from the category the Hero has unqiue changes in are still updated when theres new changes made in the “All Heroes” setting.
Heroes with unique setting changes are marked with an * next their name,
the setting that differs from the “All Heroes” set is marked the same way.
TL;DR
Compare the Hero settings with the global ones and make sure they’re all the same to update all Heroes’ Communication wheel in the future.
What you said doesn’t make sense. I’m the Controls settings, you can select the option “All Heroes,” and any changes will apply to all heroes. I’ve made changes that is for all heroes, and it’s not applying to all heroes.
That’s a bug.
I’ve investigated more and it seems if a character has hero-specific settings, changing global settings for some reason won’t apply it to them. It’s a bug.
That’s literally what I meant, but ok.
It’s still an intentional feature, if this wouldn’t be in place everyone who’s using unqiue control layouts on specific heroes would overwrite them every single time they make changes to the Global settings, completely removing the point of Hero specific setting layouts.
It has been this way since Overwatch 1; you’d assume that it would’ve been “fixed” if if were one considering the sheer amount of reports this “issue” alone already has receive even back when the game was just called “Overwatch”.
You’re misunderstanding me. None of my heroes had hero specific settings that changed communication options. Only sensitivity.
But when I changed communication settings, it didn’t apply to some heroes. And no, it didn’t just not apply to which heroes had hero specific settings (9 heroes I have have the yellow asterisk, but only 6 heroes didn’t get the changed global communication settings).
Obviously that’s a bug. Because if global setting changes don’t apply to any heroes that have any changes different from the default, why did it only not apply to 6 heroes instead of 9?
