Apart from when Blizzard openly didn’t support it and are quite happy to block the content in regions where being gay is wrong.

They want to shift skins, they don’t care about inclusivity and just look at how the team has done since they went ‘inclusive’… game has gone down the pan.

Why don’t we have a transwoman hero yet? We have genderqueer character, gay characters and a non-binary character.

Why is Blizzard so afraid of having a trans character? There are only a handful of video games with trans characters. Blizzard is too afraid of triggering transphobic people I fear for them to actually care about actually being progressive.

While Rainbow Capitalism is very fake, i personally feel the discussion it creates is a good thing

I dont think they have an active interest one way or another… I think they just follow the money (and follow the rules, where said rules dictate how they earn their money)

Please can people stop doing this fearmonguring bull crap, they aren’t afraid of crap.

Things take time, it’s not just about filling out a checklist you know the heros have to be fun engaging and playable.

You’ll get a trans hero soon enough Jesus Christ.

You mean corporations are doing what corporations do???

What a revelation. I never would’ve imagined an entity that exists solely to make money wants to make money.

Are we actually celebrating pride, or are we celebrating a washed down version?

ayooooooooo phrasing

I don’t think any time soon. I believe they are too concerned about a balancing act between not offending conservative players and not being phobic. They are faux progressive.

The only in-game event is that Midtown Pride is returning. The rest is about supporting LGBT content creators and their store proceeds go to the Trevor Project. It’s pretty… Mid.

Look I don’t know how people will take this, but it’s not like being apart of LGBT is the be all end all ultimate goal, it’s about equality.

They have to release straight heros as well as diverse heros.

Robotos, cyborgs, hell animals everything is on the table.

Lgbt within the grand ultimate scheme just like everything else is just another thing, a normalized acceptable thing, but not a gravitational pull of a black hole that you have to funnel all your resources into to make sure you check every box exactly on time and don’t offend anyone.

Venture is trans, non binary people are definitionally trans people (that’s not to say I wouldn’t like a transwoman or a transman hero)

Where’s my Aroace hero blizzard?

Kinda annoying how the skin is only available for 2 days, but other than that this seems pretty good

I am just here for the totally sane and rational comments. I am sure no one will be unnecessarily weird about it this year.

Not sure how fast you’re gonna get flagged, but you’re right. It’s not really healthy representation to add several heroes from the same community back to back. Because eventually, you cross the line from acceptance and normalization to pandering and glorifying.

As a gay dude… I’d rather not have the game pander to my community. Or ANY community, for that matter.

That’s incorrect. Non binary is not trans. Non binary just means you don’t associate with either gender completely. Trans is becoming the other gender than you weren’t born as.

I care.

And they’re not going to delete heroes.
