We will be hosting a community game night tomorrow (1/12/24 @ 8PM CST) using a custom balance patch developed by our community over at the 6v6 Adjustments Discord server. So my tl;dr reading of the patch notes:
Nerfs to tank durability and self-sustain. With 2 tanks that just makes sense.
Slight buffs to some DPS characters. Odd but okay.
Shifts to most supports that they’re weaker at combat but stronger at healing, which makes sense with a 2nd tank to heal.
Finally: Kiriko nerfed into the pavement. Why?
How did you guys ended up making a patch note?
Like, I’m not game dev but curious.
All of the changes are done using the in-game tools available in the workshop found when creating custom games! If you know your way around it, a lot of cool and unique things can be done, though support for workshop capabilities has gone to the wayside recently since most Overwatch 2 heroes don’t work with it properly. I won’t go into how to use the workshop for yourself here, since its a long winded rabbit hole you’re best exploring at your own pace.
Is there anyone from Aus/Oceana in your discord interested in this? Or is it all NA/EU?
I’d be interested to play but it will be unplayable for me if I’m playing in NA/EU servers.
The server is still a small community at the moment but we’re looking to grow as much as possible. While I can’t guarantee that we can host any AUS sever games anytime soon, the more folks we get we eventually might be able to.
