CoC and ToU and EULA Agreements. Why people can and DO get faslely Suspended for Toxicity

The CoC reads “anything the community deems toxic”

This line basically means that someone could disagree with you about anime, and you could technically be reported for toxicity or abusive chat simply because someone if os the OPINOON that your chat is disruptive to the game, then that person gets angry at you for having your opinion which they disagree with. Then by the same token many other people can have a differnce of '“opinion” about how to play a hero and report you for toxicity and abusive chat because they happen to disagree with what you say. This is PETTY and cxhildish and the agreements should be altered to SPECIFIY what toxicity truly is and what is completely unacceptable.

The SAME thing happens because people in Competitive think they can do what ever they want and not take the advice of other players when they make fatal errors that effect the team.

For example, when healers focus too much on DPSing instead of healing THEIR teammates who are on the point, right in front of them, perfectly within healing range, then someone dies. Who REALLY is the toxic one? The DPS/tank who asks why they werent healed? Or the healer who tells you to “F U” and refuses to heal you?

If we can’t change peoples behavior then we need to specifically DEFINE what behaviors are acceptable and what are not.

For example. There is a SWEAR FILTER!! if you turn off the swear filter, that means you accept the fact that you MIGHT see people swearing!! So why then is it right to report someone for swearing, when you have the ABILITY to not see those swears?? Hell, mute them ain chat and voice so you dont have to hear them. Unless they are SPECIFICALLY targeting you for anything that’s not related to the game or blatantly telling you that you are bad or some other form of trolling, mute them and move on with your game. You should not be reporting people who are legitimately concerned for their own survival in the game when a healer isn’t doing their job.

Ok. yes. Some people try to bypass the filter. THAT however is a legit reason for someone to be reported via the in game abusive chat report.

Someone complaining about swearing should just turn on the swear filter if they do not want to see them. if people are bypassing the filter, report them and mute them so you cannot see their chat.

The report system and the CoC, ToU and EULA need to be reworked so that innocent people aren’t suspended because someone doesn’t use the report function properly just like with the game itself, 5 other players should NOT have to suffer at the hands of an inept and selfish player.

been saying this, but even if they don’t have chat logs i get the “you were reported for a reason”

What they need to do is get some GMs that actually read the chat logs and have a degree of common sense to see that people are just frustrated that they can’t climb ranks due to losing so much time from false suspensions. There is no shortage of toxic people but the ones who ARE toxic do not always get punished.

I used to record matches and actually SHOW the GMs what I deal with on a daily basis and they STILL do not overturn game suspensions because, for all intents and purposes, they basically "let the community decide what they believe is toxic.

They should add a clipping feature that allows you to record and download clips of the live gameplay. Total of 1 minute and save it like a highlight in the Blizzard server. It would be deleted from the server after a report is made to avoid any privacy issues and it can be used by Blizzard as fool proof evidence for a toxic player reporting other people so the GMs can see AND hear exactly how things play out and then they will know who the liars and toxic trolls are by seeing and hearing exactly what goes on in a game. Or you can use the clips as evidence to help overturn your own suspension. A LOT of the reasons for people being suspended or banned are from what Blizzard cannot hear in the VC.

The only OTHER way they could get actual evidence is to have a hidden spectator slot in matches so that GMs can observe people and their behavior and maybe even scan the game session for irregularities.

For example, if someone gets enough reports for something like cheating, a GM will spectate that player in what ever match they are in, get a feel for their actions, run what ever scans of the system and make sure that external programs aren’t tampering with the match, and if they find sufficient evidence of cheating end the match as a Draw, send the players back to the home screen and send out a Chat message saying something like “Due to the illicit actions of another player, your match was ended by an administrator and you recieved no penalty.”

As far as I know that’s how Blizzard in game GMs ban and suspend people in World of Warcraft. They hover and follow someone around and visually assess that players actions.

Blizzard needs to take reporting and punishing of players way more seriously because I am tired of all the toxic players that seem to never get what they deserve and only make this game more frustrating.

Stopped reading once you blamed healers. You’re lucky you even get a healer on your team given the current state of the game and toxicity of the community…

Wasn’t blaming anyone in particular. That is just a recent example. A Moira threw her orb…STRAIGHT DOWN…and the healing orb floated off into the sky and healed nothing.

Or a Moira pushed too far ahead and popped their ult and immediately died. Or when they throw a damage orb into an ongoing team fight while me and a tank are already half dead.

Doesn’t matter what role someone is. If they are playing poorly they should not be playing it or report people for giving them advice in the moment for the betterment of the team.

The point here being that people should not be reported for giving people good advice when it helps the WHOLE team win a match.

Sounds like a player who never players healer filling the role… when I see my Moira playing like that, I call her out on her BS playstyle… and if they aren’t in voice, I fill as a second main healer and basically solo heal while she goes and plays DPS…

TL;DR: those people playing healers who aren’t healing… are probably not healer mains… and if they are… you’re in low elo and need to coach these players in a non-toxic way…

Well…when you are not the healer and you are outperforming the other DPS by geting multiple headshot kills on point as a Hanzo all match, switching is not really an option!! XD

I did ask these Moiras politely. “Moira can you please toss the healing orb on point for the next push? You tossed the damage orb and we got roasted.” Or in the other scenario “Hey Moira, please don’t toss your heal orb at the floor. it floated away and didn’t heal us.” <—My exact words!! Non-toxic. They replied with this in VC “F U -explitive-!
