Co-op vs AI can't do most challenges

This includes all of the daily challenges, apparently. Speaking as someone who gets more fun out of kicking back and trouncing bots in co-op than getting raged at by people in unranked, this ain’t okay. It kinda locks me out of battle pass progress if I don’t play the much-reviled-by-me PVP modes. Is there any way around this besides giving in and playing unranked? I can understand locking out custom games but let co-op have some fun too.

For a game that’s gonna be mainly PvE next year, this is unacceptable. If we paid for a BP, we should have the ability to complete SOME of the challenges via VS AI. Its disgraceful that we can’t.

I wanna add my 2 cents. I agree with this 100%. I went to the original OW daily to get my win of the day with a fun and relaxing Vs AI match. I never felt like I wasn’t allowed to enjoy the game my way. I figured that since OW2 was going to add a bunch of PvE content that things would stay the same and PvE players wouldn’t be punished.

Additionally, I finally logged on (because I was told that the servers actually were letting people play now), booted up a Vs.Casual fight and proceeded to get repeatedly aimbot headshot by Hanzo on a team of enemies effectively using strats I have only ever seen from streamer teams or OW League… so, that was fun.

EDIT: Also, I am 50/50 on OW2 just pulling a Fortnite and ditching the PvE altogether in favor of “Your favorite Streamer™’s game of choice”.

There is no reason why they can’t let us complete these challenges in ai. “People will exploit it” what? Saying “hello” to a teammate? Saying “thanks” to your healer? We can’t even get these in ai games, it’s ridiculous.

Seeing that OW2 was supposed to be PvE-heavy, I was even expecting a total revamp of the “Practice vs AI” mode to make it a new regular game mode (like ranked and QP) with much improved bots.

But they didn’t improve anything on the gamemode side.
A very disappointing outcome after 3 years of development and content drought.

OW2 is really underwhelming in its current state.
