I’m not sure how you guys feel about it, but I feel like it’s ridiculously hard and the people who say things like “You’re (insert tier here) rank because you deserve to be there” and stuff like that truly do not understand what it’s like. Yes with Overwatch 2 releasing in 1 month and a few days from now, obviously the people on this game still are smurfs, people who are boosting accounts, throwers, the people who get high and drink while playing, etc, it’s not pleasant. Overwatch 2 won’t be much better, sure more people are gonna care for a hot minute, but you’re not gonna be boosted, you’re just gonna start off where you where before Overwatch 2. I’m not sure if this is just a me thing, but I literally just keep losing. People respond with “Just play Soldier” “Just play Reaper”, etc, and that makes me so angry. If it were that easy everybody would it. What they fail to get is that, if you are good, but your team isn’t, you’re not gonna solo carry and win all your games. Especially on console. The skill gap is much harder. I feel like nobody understand how hard it is to truly climb. Whether you’re in a 6 stack, or simply solo, it’s super hard.
Struggling in silver is what got me in Bronze in the first place.
If you are struggling in SILVER, genuinely you just don’t deserve to climb. Climbing isn’t a reward for just playing more, it’s for those who put in the effort to understand their mistakes, learn how to apply fixing them going forward, and genuinely improving over time.
Nobody wins all their games, what matters is that you win the majority or above 50% to climb, if you are indeed better than the players in your elo, you WILL climb, unless you aren’t actually that good.
No, these people are speaking based on facts. The people who are above you on the ladder – however hard the ladder is, however unfair it is, however big a sham you think it is, however bad your teammates are, however bad low population is making matchmaking, and anything I haven’t mentioned – are handling all of these complexities and problems better than you. And you know how I know that? Because they’re rated higher than you are. That’s it. They are competing in the SAME ENVIRONMENT AS YOU and are facing the same variables and difficulties, and they are simply managing them better than you are.
Outside of cheating, does the ladder measure ANYTHING but effectiveness, skill, and knowledge? If so, please tell me what those other variables are and we can discuss.
Dnt listen to all these guys saying fix your mistakes, get vod reviews, its all on you blah blah blah. Im peak top 100 and i will tell you this is the most garbage matchmaker ive ever seen in 30 plus years of gaming.
Just get a new account, then on placements highly inflate your KD ratio and it will instantly place you around 3200-3500. After that just play normally and you will climb much easier because most people now have an understanding of the game.
Its sad but most guys on here wont admit that, and no offense not all but most arent even good enough for the rank imo. Mechanics dnt seem to be a strong point so they stick around OW, instead of getting high elo in all fps.
Just my take, but if you want legit advice to make you better at all fps games hit me up. Its not rocket science and anyone can do it with a few small adjustments.

Cause it’s funny. Owl and streamers do unranked to gm and who knows what region they do… but I say… no 1 on this forum … has done an unranked to gm on NA.

I just like to see evidence, doesn’t help that tons of people on these forums constantly lie and make up stuff (especially the rigged MM believer group), so whats the issue being skeptical about someone claiming to be high ranked with private profile and making VERY questionable takes?
It’s a LOT harder to climb out of bronze or silver than it should be. Yes, if you’re diamond or GM or whatever you can solo carry your way out of there on DPS. But if you’re a gold or plat player, especially if you play tank or support, then you’ve got no chance. You’re honestly better off starting a new account and hoping you get lucky in your placements and end up in plat.
