"Client requested disconnect" - Saving Highlights

When I want to watch or save my game highlights, the download first starts and after a secon I get thrown out of the game with the error message " Client requested Disconnect" and I have to log into the game again.

This only happens when I try to watch or save my highlights???

This exact same thing happened to me. I tried to save a POTG highlight and it was in the middle of saving the file but then it logged me off and gave me a “Client Disconnected” error. I re-logged in and tried again but the same thing happened. Couldnt save my highlight.

Yes, started happening to me yesterday, when trying to watch my Moria POTG. The second before the highlight would start I would get kicked out, with a message saying “DISCONNECTED FROM GAME SERVER. (IC-305.028)”. But sometimes I can was some highlights, and sometimes I can’t, idk It’s weird. BLIZZARD PLZ FIX!!!

Same issue happened to me as well. Seems like it really is a bug in the OW2 client

Also having this issue, but it seems pretty inconsistent. Sometimes trying to load a bugged highlight will kick me out of the game as it transitions from the highlight intro to the actual game footage, sometimes the highlight will just get stuck at a full load bar indefinitely. The only possible common factor I can figure for which highlights get bugged is that it seems to start doing it after a few highlights get generated. Around 5 or 6 as far as I can tell. Not totally sure on that though. Could just be a coincidence for the couple of times I’ve paid closer attention to it.

Edit: Even more frustrating is that it also effects some highlights in that it lets them fully load and play, but when you go to save them, it gets indefinitely stuck about a sixth of the way through the saving progress. I’ve already lost several PotGs to every variation of this bug, so would be real nice if Team 4 could make their long-existing features function properly again, sooner rather than later.

This problem’s been going on for a couple of weeks now. Any ETA on when this bug will be fixed? This issue extends to the REPLAYS too- when you skip frequently it happens as well.

Any updates will come from staff, not me, and would either be in a news post or the pinned thread.

I think i found a loophole for PC! If you use a screen recorder like OBS, you can go to Career Profile > History > Replays to review the entirety of the matches played recently (they reset to none every time the game gets a patch apparently so save asap if u want to do this). You simply go to the game you got POTG in for the replay, spectate yourself, go to the point in the clip that shows when you believe you got the POTG or highlight (it doesnt show the POTG at the end, just a recording of the actual match) and then screen record that section of the clip!

I just did it myself and it’s great for saving the clips until this bug is fixed, especially if it wont let you view the highlight clip directly. I hope this helps others for the time being while we wait for them to fix the bug!

It will likely continue happening until an update is issued in the pinned post and/or a news post.

Love how this has been happening for months and nothing has been fixed yet. I made a forum post about it a long time ago.
