Well pat urselfs on the back forumers, you got my favorite mode removed. Sure, some of you didn’t like it, but honestly, thats a skill issue. Now I have even less reason to play this god forsaken game.

That was the one mode that wasn’t a complete walking simulator.

Sorry man. Hopefully they can iron out the issues pretty quick for all our benefit.

Clash removed from comp for S15?

Oh no!

…anyway

It’s hard to pick if clash or 2cp was worse. Shame they didn’t remove it from qp for now too :frowning:

You can still play it in qp. And the skill issue of the mode was babying the losing team by giving them free caps with how much of an advantage they have for their home point. The fact that a team can win while getting 3 of their 5 points while having such a massive advantage was just stupid. And never even needing to fight on the enemy teams side of the map. Can literally win the match while winning a single even point in the middle of the map. It was anti competitive.

Bruh it was my favorite mode, I get people didnt like it but now 2 new maps gone to the dumpster might as well take flash point out aswell like commit to something

I was surprised how quickly they gave up on it, the modes only been out for a few months now.

Rip, I play 2x as much comp as I do QP so I’m hardly ever going to see my second favorite map type. Low elo players ruin everything fun.

Hopefully they can fix how weird the mode feels. Like those times where it almost feels like punishing to take C because you end up ping-ponging in territory that favours the enemy team.

Some modes feel like it’s possible to build up too much momentum off the first fight, but Clash can go too far in the opposite direction.

Removing them while leaving Circuit and Havana?

:face_vomiting:

I hate how they just “remove” content

Put it all in there, hanmura, paris, horizon, clash, lucioball, junkenstein, 6v6, 3v3, ffa comp, they gutted mystery heroes…

The lisy goes on, Like just leave it all in there and let the players play it all

I hate how they force us to choose one thing that they offer

At this point, blows my mind that we cant create custom maps. Look at trackmania, the whole thing lives off custom maps. Look at halo 1 c.e., its still alive due to custom maps. Halo forge was so popular, that some of those custom maps became permanent competitive fixtures AND got passed down to successor titles.

I like clash and I’m going to miss it

It’s still playable in QP.
It doesn’t deserve to be in Comp because it’s literally anti-competitive by design.
The losing team shouldn’t be rewarded with a free point just because they are losing and it’s extremely easy and likely that they will get the point closest to their spawn, because they have such a huge advantage on that point.

It’s like playing a game of basketball and when you start losing, they lower your hoop and raise the hoop of the winning team, so that the losing team has a better chance of coming back that they would not have otherwise.

If you like competitive fairness and map types that aren’t flawed at the core then removing it from Comp was the correct choice.

If they want to fix that issue and bring it back, fine. I don’t know how they could and especially without risking hard stomps that would end the game in 3 minutes, but maybe they will figure something out.

Could you not say the same thing about payload maps, where the defender spawn is closer near the end?

On Escort, both teams get that same advantage between the two matches of playing defense (and I would say it’s a far less advantage than on Clash maps).

Clash does not require you to push to the last point in order to win, even if the enemy team pushed to the last point. One team can get that advantage while the other team never gets that same advantage.
