Last week I felt I was getting Clash maps a lot more than others. To confirm it I have collected my last 248 games worth of data on map selection. Here’s the breakdown
Clash 29 total, 14.5 avg/map
Flash 21 total, 10.5 avg/map
Push 37 total, 9.2 avg/map
Control 54 total, 7.8 avg/map
Payload 57 total, 7.2 avg/map
Hybrid 50 total, 7.2 avg/map
A specific clash map is selected more than twice as frequently as a specific hybrid or payload map relative to the number of maps in each mode. Looking at it another way
Mode : expected / actual%
Clash : 6.7% / 11.7%
Flash : 6.7% / 8.5%
Push : 13.3% / 14.9%
Control : 23.3% / 21.8%
Payload : 26.7% / 23%
Hybrid: 23.3% / 20.2%
I suspect this relates to clash being removed from comp. If the probability of the map type is spread across the different play modes (QP/comp), but it can’t be selected for 1 of the modes then the other mode doubles. That seems to be what the stats are saying.
Clash is trash so pls fix this so we get the same frequency for each clash map as the more fun modes.
