Clash Fix - Respawn and Tick Change

Hello, I wanted to post my thoughts on a potential change to Clash to make the games that begin more one-sided dont end with a 5-0 that had a total of 2 minutes of gameplay.

I will create a fake scenario to showcase my idea.

Clash would begin as normal, with each side coming evenly towards the centermost point, C. Blue team is on side A/B and Red team is on D/E. Blue team captures point C and heads to point D. The score is 1-0.

Next, Blue team captures point D. The score is now 2-0, and no changes are required thusfar.

Once Blue team heads to point E, the point is not broken into ticks. It is a singular point as with all other points. Blue team captures point E. What happens now?

The respawn for Red team is now going to do what Call of Duty has done for years - flip the map.

Red team gains free wave spawn and movement boost out of their new spawn on side A/B. Blue team has an overtime respawn if anyone is eliminated. The Blue spawn is now on side D/E - i.e. the side they just captured 3 in a row on.

The two teams fight for Point C with the minor buffs to Red team.

If Blue team can walk from Point E and capture Point C with significant debuffs to their respawn time and speed overall, the teams then fight a la the second fight (Point B). If blue team captures: C, D, E, C, and B, the match is over.

If Red team creates a reverse sweep and fights their way back to their original spawn, on side D/E, the spawns reset, and both teams get wave respawn and speed boost out of their spawn doors for a 3-3 on Point C.

I would love to create a discussion because this is by no means perfect, but I think this is a step towards not having a 2 minute competitive Clash game while having a 5 minute queue time.

Thanks!

Your suggestion is better than we currently have in game, but suspect it will confuse people when spawns swap sides. Clash already has issues because its capture points play so differently than other modes. Introducing a side swap will complicate things.

I’ll be honest, I didn’t follow this at all after you mentioned flipping spawns. Maybe I’m just tired, but I didn’t understand anything in the last half of the post
