The hairpin up the hill requires not one, not two, but three teamfight wins to be solidly out of “constantly fighting against high ground” territory.
It’s an absolutely terribly designed map.

Its because they keep making maps where you cant flank without being seen by widow at all times!
Sounds like a skill issue.
Teams pushing the payload can absolutely push up that hill without too much difficulty, especially if they have a flanker who can get behind the enemy team or heroes like Pharah/Junkrat who can either fly up and hit the enemy where they’re defending or can lob grenades and other explosives up over the barriers.
Do you not play at an elo where hitscan can aim? If the enemy is playing Soldier or Cass or any hitscan on the highground, you cannot flank, you cannot just “fly up” since it puts you eye-level with them, and you can’t just push up the hill because for the enemy it’s “oops, all headshots.” There’s no good flanking route on it either. You have your choice of a staircase that’s easy to defend and a tunnel that’s easy to defend.
They can’t defend all 3 at once. Well… okay, they can, but that’s going to leave them unable to stop the payload as it moves up.
And you can find plenty of replays and videos of attacking teams decimating the defence as they climb that hairpin.
As soon as you get into even semi decent ranks Junkrat is F tier on Circuit 2nd point attack.
The moment Ky tried to imply Junkrat was, IN AMYWAYS, good on 2nd point circuit, I just stopped reading the rest of their post.
All this paragraph confirmed for me, is you dont play Junkrat, nor Pharah if you think they’re good on 2nd point Circuit Royale.
Against any competent team, they both get absolutely disintegrated on 2nd point Circuit.
Circuit Royale, as a whole, has been my least favourite OW2 map since beta one.
A is a boring corridor. The interiors of the buildings on either side could have made for some more interesting stuff but as it is, outside of the occasional wall-scaling stuff from defender spawn, it’s so dull. I don’t need to touch on B. Even C has an awkward layout.
If we had a number of map vetoes, Corridor Royale would easily get one from me.
Are the widows you play against paralyzed or something lmao
