New Queen Street. We roll out. Get to first fight, they have better picks than us. We get rolled. I ask for one of the dps to swap to Cassidy. No response. One dps in particular is stinking it up on Bastion vs a Tracer Torbjorn. We lose a couple more fights, i ask again for one of them to swap to Cassidy, the Bastion one trick leaves the game without a single word.
Look, if you’re gonna log onto Overwatch AND play comp, you need to be prepared to make swaps. You can’t just play one hero the entire time. If you’re quitting a comp game because someone asks you to make a swap, you’re just being childish. I go in hoping to play some Roadhog but if the map or team comp is bad for him, i will swap cause ultimately, i wanna win more than i want to play Roadhog.
It’s one thing to one trick a single hero. It’s another to not even be good at the character
Look, if you’re gonna log onto Overwatch AND play comp solo, you need to be prepared to have teammates who aren’t willing to swap. You need to adapt and play around them instead of demanding swaps and micromanaging your team. If you deserve to win, you will carry your games. GG go next when that doesn’t happen.
Comp is way better and more consistent when grouped with people. You can overcome many issues by grouping up. Slowly adding people to your list of friends over time.
99 percent of the time the people demanding swaps dont realize in metal ranks, it doesnt come down to swaps. it comes down to ult economy and positioning.
Why do you expect strangers to work together? They aren’t your friend to boss around with. You don’t know if they can even play the character swap well. There are times you just need to eat the loss, and nothing can be done about it.
Who exactly do you think i am, Bruce Wayne? I can’t just make a team to play with. I have one friend who plays Overwatch on console regularly. Sometimes, that means i have to play solo. Trying to sway my team into more favorable picks shouldn’t be a major deal
There is no such thing as playing around bad teammates. You just auto lose if you have one. It’s sadly that simple. The games after that, i had a rough couple fights with bad hero choices on the team, they swapped (Without me even asking) and we won. What a shocker that if you read the situation, you work better as a team. I do not have to accept that there will be some teammates that don’t try to help the team because this is a team game first and foremost
No, this 100% came down to swaps and i am in Diamond, tyvm
He’s like, one of the easiest heroes in the game lol. Shoot, roll away from enemy fire and throw your nade at people, particularly the dive heroes.
Cassidy’s really good. I’d have accepted any swap to any hero to give Torb or Tracer more trouble but Cassidy would’ve been tops there
So making suggestions and callouts based on my position in the team to try and give our team a better chance is suddenly bossing people around is it? You’re exactly the same as the Bastion i had and reported. This poor mentality is why you don’t win games. This isn’t about what you want. It’s about what the team needs.
You just blow in from Stupidtown?
The sake of the team’s chances of winning. I wouldn’t think not winning isn’t fun. Very next game had a Lucio on the enemy team throwing for no reason whatsoever. I felt bad and simply do not understand that mentality.
Something that you fail to realize here is the fact that not everyone can play everyone. Most people can’t play everyone.
Have you ever considered that maybe they’d be doing worse even if they swapped to whatever you wanted, just because they don’t know how to play that hero?
I think you lost my point here. I made a suggestion. They didn’t have to adhere to that particular suggestion but a switch was necessary. That much was painfully clear
No, I think you lost mine. Someone’s effectiveness can and will drop when they swap to someone they aren’t as good at. It doesn’t matter who they swap to. If they’re not comfortable on other heroes, they should stay on the one they’re on.
Listen, I’m going to ask you to swap off that character you’ve played for more than 1,000 hours for one you’ve messed around with for 10 hours. Trust me, this is how we win the match.
