I, WyomingMyst, am a Forum MVP. This means I spend a great deal of time helping players with Overwatch (which is why my text is green in color). This thread is not related to my role as a Forum MVP and I do not represent Blizzard Entertainment.
Thank you for your cooperation and enjoy the match!
IMPORTANT REMINDER: Soe Opening Weekend Spray is not yet patched into the game client.
This means once you earn the qualifying time for that spray, you cannot access it right away until it arrives in a later patch. Follow my streaming rewards guide thread for updates on when that spray arrives in the game client at a future time. You must still watch the required amount of 4 hours from April 16th to 18th to earn that spray.
My pickem says that while the Hunters has a decent chance of taking 1 map, the Dragons are going to win this one convincingly. Dragons take this one 3-1.
Well, on the bright side, if (and that’s a very big “if”) the Hunters 3-0 this one, you can just start up the thread for Fusion vs. Valiant and then leave me at the controls while you get some quality sleep. At least you don’t have to worry about being woken up by a mysterious sound midway through the night like I did…
Damn, I cant wait for the Replay Client to upload the replays, there was so many missed engagements that really tell this tale…
FYI, the final match is going to be starting soon, it will be the encore match, so I am going to get some more sleep and follow up with the match then. Cheers everyone!
FINAL SCORE: Chengdu Hunters 3, Shanghai Dragons 0
CHENGDU HUNTERS WINS!
The Chengdu Hunters complete a surprising opening week by first defeating the Los Angeles Valiant 3-1 before outright stomping the Shanghai Dragons 3-0 to start off the season 2-0. Whether the Hunters got lucky or are actually a good team remains to be seen, but if they can steal one more match win next week they have a very good chance of making it to the May Melee.
The Dragons, meanwhile, go 1-1 by stomping the Charge to open their season before they fall to the Hunters. They’ll look to right the ship 2 weeks from now.
