Had a game last night in Gold against a Soldier who was blatantly using aim hacks, check replay here NF7FHM
Just played another game against a Tracer using ‘streaming mode’… a way to hide a battletag (thats sensible Blizzard… because smurfs/cheaters wont use that at all
)and was one clipping people all over the shop,
Your anti cheat methods are utterly pathetic and I just can’t stand when people say ‘Oh but people don’t cheat in Gold’… Yeah they do… hundreds of people are and it ruins hundreds of games.
Team 4, pull your finger out and actually do something to address this epidemic of cheaters running through your game.

Its a f2p game, what did you expect? Less cheaters and smurfs? LMAO

So is Valorant and yet they have better control over their cheating issue

they are probably using a real anti cheat instead of the api garbage that blizzard is using now as its been said warden is api based
Keep believing in Riot’s promise of miraculous anticheat. It’s more like malware/spy software than anticheat.

A site is giving out free trials of cheats every week. Now they have over 800000 people who is using their cheats. PC gaming is utter trash and Blizzard wont do anything it seems. If Blizzard fixes their end, the cheat makers just update theirs.

Its why ban waves is the most stupid tactic possible.
Imagine letting cheaters run rampant for weeks/months then ban wave them and the next day they are back on another account they bought from resselers with their cheats updated.

It’s both. Every aggressive anti cheat not only is both, but it has to be both. Though more spyware, not malware because malware requires malicious actions being performed by it, which isn’t the case.
For about a decade now gamers have to decide between giving anti cheats full control over their computers and having more cheaters in games. Blizzard went with the latter approach, Valorant the former. Ring0 cheats have become the standard a long time ago, which ultimately means the anti cheat has to have access to your kernel as well if you want any kind of decent performance.
I doubt Blizz even has a anti cheat at this point, I refuse to believe they have a anti cheat while spinbotter can spinbot all the way upto top 500 without getting banned.
Actually most cheats today are external, they are AI driven.
The only way to beat cheaters is by going after whoever distributes them using the law.
At this moment they are so bold they are paying for adds to be on top of Google results, its not like they are hard to find, it’s a total lack of will.
External and ring0 aren’t mutually exclusive, neither does AI have anything to do with cheats being internal/external or user/kernel mode.
Whether you read/write memory with “AI”, whatever that means, or with normal methods, you are reading/writing memory and thus can be detected.
…because they use a kernel level anti cheat. You are basically allowing China complete access to your computer.
I am gonna download 1TB of Winnie the Pooh content and download valorant.

Cool! Just don’t use your computer for email or banking or any kind of personal information while you are watching winnie the pooh okay? Or ever again…since you are installing valorant
Had a game yesterday with a Hanzo that was very obviously hacking on Kings Row. He was on my team unfortunately.
But we all decided on a draw, so we made sure to draw the game
I haven’t seen that happen in a while
You post to these forums with six different accounts named ‘RiffandRage’ and you’re complaining about people trying to hide things?

Yea, had one this morning on my team (Widowmaker: “Lazy”).

Honestly never paid attention during the match, but the PotG was like “WTF” and I had to go to the replay to see what was going on… and he was clearly wall hacking and cheating.
Reported him after the match.
I just posted a replay code as well… the enemy team’s Mei had auto-head snaps that were pretty blatant. Looks like there is a new wave of cheats hitting the game.
I watched the first half of the replay. At first I thought they werecheating but in the end I don’t think they were. They are playing with very low sensitivity and they miss a lot of shots at some points and when they are tracking it is not sticking to the target - sometimes it lags and misses.
Unless it is aimbot that has been set to be relaxed so it may lag and which does not snap to any particular point on the target, it seemed like a real person.
He was clearly using soft aim lock. Not sure how anyone can look at that and think it was legit.
He’s a real person.
Using cheats.
Also, the Mercy Perma Pocket is a bit of a red flag to me. Were they grouped? Always check for that when you have a sus player being pocketed like that.
I’ve said this multiple times, but it’s extremely common to see cheaters getting perma pocketed. Sometimes they are boosting support players (but it happens often in Quick Play, as well).
Anti-Cheat is an arm’s race, and cheat developers always win.
Game developers are late to counteract them, and by that time there is another cheat that works and the cycle starts again.
It’s an unwinnable battle, so at some point you have to decide whether or not it is worth investing inordinate amounts of time and energy as a priority matter, or simply keep the status quo up and do what you got to do at a reasonable pace.
I don’t think it’s worth prioritizing, no matter how many players complain about it… It will never improve.
And since the game is free, banning these players isn’t necessarily going to fix anything for the in-game experience. Many of them likely already have multiple accounts anyways, so they will just switch to a different cheat and play the game from another account - likely within the same SR-range.
There. Is. No. Solution.
If Riot’s Anti-Cheat was that, they would have been exposed and class action sued a LONG time ago.
Cool conspiracy theory, though
