Like the amount of people with aim locks and/or esp is insane. OW2 is going to be dead by it’s first month if Blizzard doesn’t address this issue. I don’t care if you have to scan in the background constantly, do it!
Post some replays as proof or are you just using ‘trust me bro’ as your evidence? ![]()
It’s comical that you literally come on here and say " post some replays" as if there aren’t websites for these cheats, youtube vids showing people who cheat, tons and tons of people on the forums saying that there are cheaters, etc. Stop fanboying over a dead game that the devs can give 2 sh*ts about. Cheating is rampant in this game and it’s super obvious.
You’re saying that you’ve experienced it, I’d like to see what your games look like when this is happening (if indeed, it is happening)… ![]()
Says the person raging at someone on a forum of said ‘dead game…’

Game is dead, stop complaining about cheaters. Move on to better things in life.
there are a lot of cheaters yeah but most of them are in masters, and you are plat. in plat the games I’ve played I’ve seen maybe 2 in the last few months. in masters I’ve seen at least 5 in 2 months
That’s applicable to every game…
If you go to the source of them, you’ll find forums and videos brimming with them.
Though does that actually mean that those cheaters make up a big % of the playerbase?
I myself haven’t encountered a cheater in a long time, last time i saw one was long ago and that was just once in my long playtime…
Just because you encounter often does not mean the entire playerbase has experienced the same thing.
When looking at videos and forums you could see around 300-800 members posting, these users don’t make up the whole picture as most people who download cheats don’t comment.
Though compared to how many players are playing overwatch, don’t think they would be that common to encounter.
So no… forums and youtube videos do not indicate that there are many cheaters, it just indicates that there are cheaters actively working on their clients.
Plus what’s wrong with showing some replay codes?
Before we even go too far into it you’re just mistaking someone for a cheater, which would just have been a waste of time.
Don’t get me wrong, i do not condone cheating nor do i think we shouldn’t do anything about it.
Though to me it feels like people are making a bigger issue of it than it actually is.
Of course i can’t say that for sure because everyone has a different experience, though just because one encounters it many times doesn’t mean everyone will.
There is only one way to solve this problem, and I don’t like it, nobody here likes it.
=> Ensuring boot integrity
=> Hypervisor detection
=> Driver whitelist
I’m not going to mention the keywords that would upset people.
Microsoft could most definitely help out a little with ow2 anticheat.
I’m tired of the toxicity and the cheaters I’m not putting up with it anymore.
Tracer/Widow/Baptist with aimbot? Most seem to 1 body shot followed by a string of headshots every time they fire their gun. They’ll aimbot round 1 then do nothing or fire blanks all round 2 and then back to aimbotting to win round 3/5. I’m leaving the match.
Pharah/Bastions with aimbot and priority aiming? I’m leaving the match.
Hogs that cannot land shots but will 180 and auto hook when their ability is off cooldown? I’m leaving the match.
As far as the cheating goes the best thing you and your team can do against cheaters is not to start the next round. If your whole team leaves before the next round starts the enemy team is booted to the menu with 0 SR gain. You were going to lose SR anyway you may as well not let them have their fun cheating and gain SR on top of cheating.
i absolutely want hypervisor detection there’s no valid reason for someone to be running overwatch in a vm
there’s also anticheats that work quite well that aren’t overly invasive (faceit AC is hands down the best anticheat out there rn for example)
To achieve these goals, compromises must be made in terms of access privileges.
The reasons often given are privacy protection and the need for additional security.
And I can’t blame anyone for that. I wouldn’t trust most companies with my cell phone number or real data, let alone give them unsupervised access to my computer.
Microsoft is one of a few companies that I trust to be able to implement an anticheat system that is considered untouchable.
And both are wrong. It’s just FUD from the cheat industry.
No one’s all paranoid about the other software on their computer, or potentially compromised drivers for hardware made in China. Only when it comes to anti-cheat, people are concerned about “privacy protection and the need for additional security?”
Nope. They just don’t want to get caught because their entire sense of self-worth is their SR.
I tried leaving matches with cheaters. Know what happened? I lost a lot of SR, and still had matches with cheaters. Then I got suspended for leaving matches. During my suspension, I realized that I would rather be playing other games. I only come back to OW for the Junkenstein, Archives, and Anniversary events.
