If I had a mouse that let’s me switch between sensitivities with a press of a button, would it be considered cheating to use it :thinking:?

You can change sensitivity mid game, you can set custom sense for scoped and unscoped within the game, and almost all gaming mice have a DPI switch if not a ‘sniper’ button to lower/increase sensitivity on keydown, so I’d say no!

If you are the type to swap between sens for different heroes I’d recommend setting them in the hero-specific options menu to save time and make things more consistent.

Mouses like that exist? I’ve always wanted one because my sensitivity on hitscan characters is so low, I almost need half of my desk with my current mouse to do a 180.

How does that even benefit you? Changin sense mid game would screw me over.

they surely do…my mouse has 2-3-4-5 burst shot for FPS games…and few headshot things i don’t really understand, so i don’t use it…

Because you had the correct answer, I will teach you a trick to bypass 20 characters!

If you don’t meet the minimum, type this:

< whatevercharactershere> but without the space. It takes up the minimum and doesn’t display it.

I do it sometimes when I switch to certain characters. I don’t need as much sensitivity on Rein as I do on Tracer.

Not at all. Thats pretty standard for most modern mice, especially gaming mice.

Combo that bad boy up with a gaming numpad that gives you a thumb analogue for movement and finger tip triggers and bear witness to awesomeness.

Ironically that’s the reverse of how I do it, I have quite low sense for Tracer 1800 DPI/2.7 in-game and it gets bumped up to 2400 for Rein as it’s more important to quickly be able to reposition rather than have tracking accuracy.

Now THAT on the other hand will get you in trouble if you’re caught. Blizzard does not like third party scripts. They will come down on you if they catch you. Best to leave that stuff alone.

My mouse has 5 buttons and dpi settings, that’s all :frowning:

the software that came with the mouse should have extra options for it, just google it if you lost the box
