Cheating is RAMPANT in OW - especially in Death Match

In every single death match game this Sunday, I ended up reporting up to five people for wall hacking and aim bots, and who knows what else (wall hacking being by far the most common). I would normally see one cheater every other game - but in the last few weeks - it has been multiple upon multiple. There must be new cheat software out because it has spiked through the roof. Nothing at ALL seems to be getting done about it.

The game is starting to get pointless to play at all…

To top it off, I just finished a game where 5 of the players where assisting each other. Protecting a Widow on the tall rock (mercy + widow + rein). Using a Sombra to protect a hanzo + mcree at the large healing box in the center of the map. It was unbelievable…

If cheating is being actively investigated it is being done so FAR too slowly. I had multiple upon multiple games with the same cheater today. Most, drop after the first report and don’t join again - but some just don’t care.

I’ve seen today:
Aim bots used with Tracer, Widow, Hanzo, McCree, Zen, and doomfist
Wall hacking from Doomfist, junkrat, tracer, hanzo, mccree, widow, Mei, wrecking ball, dva, and Lucio (and I suspect others I just didn’t notice).

Oddly, I never see cheating from 76, Moira, Phara, Sombra, Orisa, Rein, and mercy.

If someone outplays you it’s probably not because of hacks. It’s probably because they are better.

Are you sure about this? When i see people complaining about one person using hack, and after i was killed by the accused one and see the kill cam, i just can’t come to the same conclusion.

As for people teaming up, since i usually play Roadhog on DM, i’m used to people teaming up againt me, and i don’t care anymore(But i usually try to Team with another tanks, specially the ones i counter).

I’m just going to assume you got outplayed until you provide proof of aimbotting.

As for wall hacks, It’s so much easier to listen to audio cues in deathmatch because everybody is isolated as a dps, or tank (usually). It’s not as hard as you think to track through walls.

Never mind how obscenely hard it would be to actually have wall-hacks working in this game as a cheat.

Sounds like you think people are cheating because they’re better than you, not because they’re cheating.
Also, DM? Really? People still care about that gamemode?

DM regulars easily have the best ears and aim in the entire playerbase. Git gud.

The same as all cheaters. But yea, i’ve seen a huge spike in wallhacking and aimbots lately too. It’s crazy.

Literally every time I have come across a hackusation in Overwatch I’ve tried to verify it as much as possible, like by getting killed by said person and watching their “aimbot”. I can’t even remember the last time I even reported someone for cheating, and I know with over a decade of playing PC FPS alone what an aimbot does and DOESN’T look like.

So… I’m very doubtful of the game suddenly being overrun by cheaters. I have heard of it on the Korean servers due to their “PC bangs”, but it’s news to me in any other region. Blizzard cracks down on cheating like no other company.

We’re a very small community unfortunately. We have a lot of regulars on those “Chateau tryhard 24/7” custom servers.

That makes no sense - why would anyone cheat in deathmatch when there’s nothing to be GAINED by it.
Cheating in Comp - I get that, since you increase your rank.
But you don’t get anything out of cheating in deathmatch, and the whole POINT of Deathmatch is to get BETTER at the game.

So it legitimately makes no sense.

I mean, you could. Who’s to say there is an aimbot that could release a charged up punch the second your cursor comes in contact with an enemy?

People say the same about projectile heroes like Hanzo and Zen. You can aimbot with these heroes just as good as hitscan if you’re close range.

Has ZERO to do with being “out-played” - that is EXACTLY what cheaters what you to believe. OPEN your EYES.

What do you define as an aimbot? Someone with perfect tracking for 2 seconds? What do you define as a wallhacker? Do you have proof? Clips you can show?
