Cheating/Competitive players on quickplay

Hello, i want to talk about cheaters and competitive players on quickplay.

For as far as i’ve known, quickplay is supposed to be for fun. But i’ve had a game with this person who was using aimbot as tracer and someone who was just being too competitive on quickplay as genji.

It really ruined my teams game. Like okay you can be a pro genji but competitive exists for that?? Deathmatch exists for that?? Custom games?? Why would someone even need an aimbot for quickplay!?

We were spawn camped by the genji and tracer (duo) who were just killing us the moment we walk out and it really depressed us. Comp is soo toxic and now this happens in quickplay? I just want to have fun and maybe collect some achievements and gain xp and lootboxes but nop

Wish there was a mode between competitive and quickplay for people like that to go mess around.

Not okay, never has been. If you are certain someone’s using an aimbot (even better if you have video proof, or other users accusing them of the same thing) then send in a report.

Just fine. Unfortunately MMR in modes outside of Competitive can be messy at times so one day you might see a number of players at your skill level, then the next day you get a spree of games containing players with higher levels/ranks than you and/or your party.

Out of curiosity, when you say “too competitive” does this mean he/she/they are trying too hard or they’re just acting toxic?

I reported the tracer. Even got potg as tracer and my whole team reported. Hopefully blizzard checks it out.

The enemy genji was trying too hard and yes i know MMR can be messy but quickplay is for fun, i guess. Non of us had fun… he could’ve joined custom games or death match to show off his skills

I just played against a Tracer cheater a few minutes ago,lvl 3 and basically killing the hole team in less than a minute.

Some people prefer playing QP as their primary mode. So they will try their best to win a match. I’m said person.

He’s not “showing off his skills,” he’s just playing his hardest to have fun. Why should he have to play a different gamemode just because he’s a very good player?

Git Gud. Each spawn has multiple exits and if you did not switch to attempt to counter two low health flankers that is your fault.

I do enjoy winning but at the same time i want to have fun. The guy has hours on competitive and is a one trick mercy. Let him go there and spawn kill.

My whole team got so sad over the fact that we couldn’t even leave the spawn. They were playing with a tracer who was most probably aimbotting. They both were waiting for us on each exit of out spawn ( volskaya )

I played mccree to get the tracer even though im not so well at him but i tried and my teammate went winston or pharah. And like i mentioned above, we tried leaving but they both waited on each exit. I honestly just wanted to have fun and if someone wants to be this competitive then they can go to custom games. I’m like level 80 and put against level 200’s who kept doing that, its not fun.

i never had much problem with comp players in qp, but today i had a t500 widowmaker in a qp match, which wasnt too fun

Not their fault that they were placed in your games

Carefull about hanzo aimbotters.I wonder how all shots is headshots.Without see terget, aganist tracer alays headshoting hanzos in QP.Its becouse hard to detect.
Many of this players have click bot.Its shots when your aim on enemys head only.Very hard to find out but if you see always 1 hit hanzo you find one.Try EU QP always have one in game.

Stopped taking you seriously the moment you said this. Not because you mention Genji but because you believe that in order to play quickplay you need to ease off and let others “have a chance”.

The point of any game that has objectives and/or scoring in it is to win the game by making it difficult for the enemy team to accomplish their objectives.

I’ll never understand the term tryhard. How does someone “overperform” in a competitive style game?

Well said. Sadly people in QP always think that to have fun, is to deliberately not try.
