While I know a complex subject to tackle, are there any suggestions the community has come up with that they have not implemented? Is it because many of the undetectable hacks are memory based? Which are harder to detect?
I am finding increased cheaters in this version of overwatch than the previous… or is it because the shields of yesteryear are no longer and they always existed? Allowing the aim bots to hit more targets?
A couple of my suggestions that may have already been brought up, but just in case they have not:
-
Change/Fade the color of Aura around enemy teams. (For color-based display aim hacks)
-
Detect perfect square movements 0X 0Y 0Z non decimal movement. (For aimbots that snap to an enemy target directly without a curve in any of the cardinal directions without some negative or positive bias in cardinal directions from mouse).
-
Detect for linear progression of mouse movement. (Prevent mouse jumping from one X,Y,Z coordinate instantly)
-
Detect if Mouse Movement has a Coordinate collision. (Mouse attempting to move to a different coordinate against the direction of the player aiming.)
-
Wall hacks - Delay the position shown in memory on the computer for enemies behind walls. Essentially if the user is not in the line of sight, the position of the clients is delayed. This can be randomized to not allow detection.
-
Wall hacks 2 - Add ghost positions of players throughout the map with random movement. This will be impossible to tell which user is a real enemy or ghost.
I have a ton more suggestions, but I am sure the community can chime in with their own suggestions on what they have seen and how to combat it.
I have enjoyed Overwatch and I want to continue enjoying overwatch for years to come but like in many games, cheaters really do bring down the quality of the overall game.
The suggestions above will have to have a weight or warning system to ensure fairplay. Essentially if the system detects these actions multiple times a warning may be issued first. After multiple X warnings, they are kicked and auto-banned for X amount of days.
