Cheaters on the rise again?

Hello Warden, are you there, oh wait, obviously you’re not because there are people tracking people through walls and the match isn’t discontinued like the devs promised.

Warden doesn’t work in WoW either, 15 years of cheaters in WoW Warden doesn’t catch any of them only player reports and investigations.

It’s sad that people pay $300 for a cheat on a $20 game.

I salute you for posting this. Too many people will brush you off for calling out a cheater when you see one, with statements like “Heh snort you’re just SALTY! Git gud scrub” but no, the guy is literally aimbotting.

I recently sent Blizzard a video of a botter, and got an email confirmation the same day about how they took action against someone for cheats. It’s sad that people refuse to believe that cheaters exist in the game, but they’re present, and when someone calls another out, it should be taken seriously.

It’s not that people don’t believe cheaters doesn’t exist, is that they do not believe that there’s a lot of cheaters running around in low elo ranks right now.

Yeah fine but this community is doing this to itself. People dont believe others because noobs see cheats everywhere. I had so many games where i was called cheater/aimbotter/hacker… Last time traced accused me of using aimbot because i killed her few times with flick shots. I was zenyatta…

I’d love to see Blizzard make a sequel to that WoW movie they made, and it plays out like that South Park episode they made on WoW.

”There is a great disturbance amongst our land. The one called, Torbalicious69, is a fearsome foe to be reckoned with. Legends have it, that he can use memory editing techniques to give him unlimited gold coins, and can launch a DDoS attack on anyone that cross him, and forever banish them from this realm. If we don’t stop him soon, he will destroy all that we know and love, for he seeks to reverse-overflow the servers’ buffers, and destroy the world!..of warcraft.”

Again with the cheating thread spam.

I’d recommend recording the player’s view from the replay system, as it should give them more than enough info during their investigation.

For sure. I will say that there are a few times where I’m scratching my head at a cheating accusation. I do get there is an important distinction when looking at footage, as “flicking” is a legit aiming strategy players use. I usually do it myself in a way, whenever I’m in a high pressured situation using my Xbox controller.

I watch the replay camera from others’ perspectives, and always think “Is a human deciding this, or a robot?” From what I’ve seen, hackers will do the following unusual behaviors:

  • They’ll shoot at the middle of the screen aimlessly for a few seconds, before locking onto an enemy.

  • They act like Rambo, and do crazy stunts like walking up to a damage-boosted Bastion, next to a Roadhog, playing as McCree

  • They’ll fire multiple shots deliberately at the floor or sky, to lower their accuracy and avoid suspicion.

Here’s a kicker that was hilariously blatant:

  • They walk into a room as McCree, and after killing the enemy that was in front of them, they do a complete 180 degree turn in a straight motion and instantly kill a Mercy with a headshot.

I’m not sure if I’m allowed to post a link to my video on the matter showing the hackers I’ve found, but I do try my best to really sit down and fairly evaluate who, or what, is doing the aiming for these players.

Being from asian server, cheaters were some sort of our local cancer.
Recently I dont really see any cheaters, though I report widows just so devs do something about her.

Even if they cheat, I have no idea cause my performance was far from perfect so I look at it this way:“I could do it better”

I’m not sure if it’s worth mentioning, but the latest hacker I found was a McCree in comp 4v4 Deathmatch. I’m either a Gold or Plat in this mode (can’t remember) but this hotshot was trying to play it off like he was a Top 500 player on a fresh account. I don’t know about hackers in regular comp though. I recall a blatant hacker in Gold, and there may be more examples through evidence I gathered, but they do pop up in lower ranks from time to time.

You mean something like this?

Look how nice widow duel I had - #18 by ConditionG-1397

Someone with sense of humor? here? U proly just trolling

What do you mean? Do you think cheaters use cheats only in comp?

Who cares about cheater in casual play?

Because they are cheaters? It doesnt matter where is that person using cheat. If he is using it in casual mode, he is using it in comp too.

Are you trying to say that it doesnt matter if these players are cheating in casual modes?

GOING TO GET ALL THE XMAS SKINS!!

Okay. Here’s my video link.

I actually got reprimanded by the mods here for posting video from someone else’s gameplay. I even hid the hud, so no one’s usernames would be exposed, and I was suspended for calling another player out. I guess it really depends on the person that’s reviewing the content.
