Cheat infestation that Blizzard doesn't care about

you can actually see enemy Zarya using same cheat at 2:47 lol

They all lock onto closest character outline. It requires some aim on your part and it will do the work for you if get close enough and sensitivity/range or locking on are all configurable, which means it would miss regularly or actually hit center but their aim generally goes for character outlines only.

This is especially noticeable when they try to hit tanks like wrecking ball or shoot very close up(very noticeable when they play reaper). They will rarely hit/aim for center when its the most obvious thing to aim at on certain situations. Also if their original aim is terrible, you will actually see them shooting at air/pre-fire but somehow proceed to hit consecutive shots when their aim gets close. There are also options like trigger botting, auto flick, etc.

A lot of them also support character specific functions like tracer recalling/ Genji deflecting when they are about to get hit hard with Hanzo Arrow/Widow Sniping, eating Zarya/Mei ults automatically with D.va when it detects it near by, aiming directly at the body in case Mcree decides to use his right click, and etc. In fact, you will see some of them using this for Brig and Junkrat LOL.

Love the fact that Blizzard knew this for months and they will absolutely do nothing about it.

This became extremely popular back in Feb when a Korean Youtuber was contacted by a cheater who decided to expose this along with a streamer who was using the same script:

He found at least 3k cheaters in discord all using same script, but since Blizzard decided to do absolutely nothing after only banning people with exact same script(since the Youtuber turned it in) instead of finding a method to get rid of the exploit altogether, it only made it more popular. People having been reporting it over and over for months on KR forums, but as usual, Blizzard doesn’t care until everyone starts talking about it on NA forums.

Thanks Blizzard. You always never do anything until too much damage is done. If you actually had a working anti cheat system and more severe punishment on cheaters, you wouldn’t be having all the “Smurf” problems.

Love the fact that how this was discussed way back in 2016, and they still run rampant:

Blizzard, if you can’t deal with all the pixel aimbots, then just remove all the outlines from enemies.

And sure, you can start all the generic mocking in this forum when some one even remotely mentions possibility of cheating like “git gud”, “I’ve never seen any cheaters”, “everyone’s a cheater now? that’s a reach~”, etc etc. But this game is infested with cheaters, and it’s the truth.

Forum Moderator Note: Threads calling out specific users or discussing specific cheats are not allowed. Callouts are considered Harassment, and we don’t want information about how to obtain cheats on our forums. If you feel that someone is cheating, report them in-game. We will take action based on it.

Post it to the blizzard hacks email, NOT on the forums please

what hacks email? nothing has been done for months, and it’s extremely easy to google up cheat selling website. I am stunned at the hypocrisy.

  1. You’re preaching to the wrong audience
  2. Cheaters are a lot more rare than people like you believe. The amount of times I’ve been called a cheater on zarya because I have above average tracking.
  3. Report them ingame. If they really ARE cheating then action WILL be taken against them.
  4. hacks@blizzard.com is the email to contact with regards to finding cheats. This includes websites that might be selling them or other locations they are being distributed. Use the ingame report feature for taking action against individual players.

I like how everytime someone posts something like this, it always includes “blizz doesn’t care”

Yeah, sure they don’t
Not that they developed a system to refund sr if a player was found cheating. Or the consistent updates to their anti-cheat.
Listen, I know its frustrating to get one of these players in-game, but it really doesn’t solve anything when you complain on the forums. Report the player, and move on.

The “giving our SR back” doesn’t work half the time because so many cheaters don’t get caught… In addition, one game with a cheater can’t be made up for by, “oh here’s your SR back.” People have already had a miserable gaming experience, and you can’t just refund SR to make up for it.

I think complaining on forums might not help a lot, but we just want to know the devs are working vigorously on the issue. Cheating ruins and kills games. If they don’t take this issue seriously and games become infested with cheaters, Overwatch will see a massive drop in it’s player base. I’ve seen it happen to other games.

Great post. What about the hanzo wallhack they never fixed? or the increasing number of aimbots and automatic dodge hacks…

There is such a thing as hanzo wall hack ? And auto dodge hack?never seen it and first time heard of it .
