You get them by playing with your team in qp.
As a dps, i keep an eye on flank routes and focus the enemies that dive my supports. Easily guaranteed 1 or 2 endorsements.
Playing sup is easier for endorsement farming. Help teammates win duels, ping snipers, save teammates in near certain death scenarios, clutch ults. 1-4 endorsements per match, easily.
Tank is more difficult for me to pin down as i don’t play them much, and it’s difficult to juggle frontline and peeling duties.
I just pick orisa, soak fire at the front and turn to javelin flankers that dive my sups.
As dva, matrixing a teammate to keep them alive through a messy fight, enabling them to get elims or to escape with their life.
As zarya, i try to save a bubble for a teammate if someone dives them.
Generally managing to successfully shut down the enemy tank is a good baseline i think. Peeling for team comes after if it’s possible. (Priorities depend entirely on what tank you play.)
All those scenarios have given me endorsements even in losing games.
And i’ve heard that qp is better for endorsements than comp.
Use the ping system and remember the “thank you” emote to supps when they heal you (if possible in the moment) thanking an ana after a winning fight if they nano you is also likely to give you an endorsement.
And in general, managing to pull off a really cool team fight winning play is certain to give you endorsements.
Or saving your team from an enemy ult with your abilities when possible.
I still remember saving our team’s mercy from a dva bomb by ice blocking as mei. And that was in 2018 or something. The mercy doing a hippityhop with “thank you” spam once that fight was over was so nice.
Small memorable things like that get you endorsements.
Idk how long it’ll take to get to lvl2, i’ve never been below 4 myself. But try to be helpful in matches, looking for flankers and turning around to shoot at an enemy that dives a support is always good.
With being helpful enough and endorsing teammates yourself, you are memorable after the match and you remind folks that endorsements exist.
If you play an hour or two every day, it might not even take a week to climb.
