I am not talking about balance issues, I am talking about how the character was designed and played in OW1. I just feel like these characters were at their core more fun then they are right now.

Just about any DPS that was in OW1 was more fun to play then.
I’d add Sym, Reaper, Hanzo, Junkrat, and Doomfist to that list.
And pretty much every Support that isn’t Moira, as well.
For me, its Bastion and Orisa for their Ultimate’s. Some incredible times back then in OW1! 
Doom fist. Back when rollout play styles could be done without throwing.
Add Reaper and Ball to that list. I’d even say Sigma, but knowing how much people dislike the character, I don’t think many people would agree (even though it was x100 times more fun having to counter 6 players than 5 with his kit).
Not to be melodramatic, but basically every hero was more fun to play in Overwatch Uno outside of Reinhardt because I am not Giga Chad enough to play him without a charge cancel. Or at least I wasn’t. Maybe nowadays I could manage it. I guess.
I still miss point blank charges on tanks to be perfectly honest. Straight off the map I would go!
Zarya. She doesn’t really suck right now, but man, sometimes I think abt how I actually really enjoyed to tank when I could off tank as her

Charge cancel is the best change done to Reinhardt. I definitely do not miss OW1 Reinhardt 
Not just characters, the game also. Now its just feedorama, more cheating than ever before, horrible matchmaking and so much more
Let’s face it, that change should have been made in OW1.
Basically any DPS that isnt a super popular hitscanflankersniper.
Mei and Sym have lost basically every reason to be played as DPS at this point and are kept afloat by their situational utility.
I miss OW1 Mei, she really shined in the PVE mission keeping talon goons in check while heroes with more fire power can take them down.

Also I imagine Junkrat probably played more fun in OW1 after he was given the 2nd mine. I didn’t pay him, but I imagine his players probably did!
And Doomfist. Maybe Orisa?..I dunno.
Doomfist videos from OW1 looked so fun. Rollouts and Combos montages always gave me a hankering to play OW even if I didnt feel like playing it.
