I was playing OW2 fine for the last few days and I have played OW1 since 2017 but when I log in today most of my characters who I’ve played before, have multiple skins, and multiple hours on are locked??

Also having this issue. Was on last night with no issue, logged in this morning and all of my characters are locked

Lots of threads going on about this, lots of us in the same boat: playing fine, got dc’d and now heroes we were JUST playing are now locked…

Good afternoon. There was such a question, for a long time I have been playing overwatch, I have 300+ hours in the game. And now I have to discover heroes in some unknown and incomprehensible way? Which for some reason are suddenly blocked, what kind of nonsense? Am I a new player? no. Should I be gradually introduced into the game? no. Why can’t I sit behind my beloved Hanzo and draw the string like I used to. I need to UNLOCK it, but how it is absolutely unclear. Please fix this immediately

I was playing a few matches with my friends and after we all DC’ed we all got back on and all but the free hero’s were locked for us, that and I still haven’t gotten my watchpoint pack stuff

Same here. Got on after the update and I only have the free heroes.

I have almost 200 hours in this game and randomly almost all of my characters were locked. Can they please fix this immediately? It happened immediately and I got so frustrated because I thought it was just me.

Yeah this just happened to me too. I was playing earlier today with all heroes available, but this recent update seems to have reset it? I’ve owned OW1 since launch and have like 700+ hours so it should be there.
same here ! I think it might be because of the new update. I was perfectly fine earlier then I suddenly lost all my characters when I logged back in after the update happened. I have maybe over 200 hours on this game too ? Very confused !
Same here. Logged out of the game to see if a daily challenge that bugged out on me could be fixed… Instead, I noticed that the game was updating instead. I log back in and suddenly I can’t play as Ana, despite having played as Ana earlier today.
Same issue. I had my heroes the last few days but now they are gone.
Also ran into the same issue. So infuriating that I can’t even play my main anymore.

Same situation here. played last night and not even 24 hours later almost all the heroes I played are now locked. been here since 2017
And you’re right, it seems like there is no way to actually unlock the characters locked behind this bug. It says they can be unlocked through the season pass, special challenges or the in game shop. From what i can see none of those options have the means to unlock characters.
