So every time I’ve logged in for the past few days, the character models and some audio won’t load at all. I just played a game for 4 minutes without being able to see anyone or myself. Ping was fine, though it has been spiking at 200-300 when I first join a game. So my question is wtf? I’ve restarted the entire thing and computer multiple times with no change. My internet connection is absolutely fine, it’s just the game?
Sounds like you might have a packet loss issue. Let’s look at a WinMTR.
WinMTR instructions (click to expand/collapse)
Follow the support documentation for WinMTR. If you’re unable to get into a game for the IP address, then use an IP from the table provided on that page that matches your region. Run the test until you encounter the issue again, or for at least 10 minutes.
Share your results in a reply:
- Click the “Copy Text to clipboard” button after you’ve finished the test per the instructions.
- Paste the text in a reply, then highlight the pasted text and click </> on the post editor.
- Break any links by adding a space before .com, .net, etc.
Note: I’m an MVP/volunteer, and I don’t work at Blizzard.

As suspected, Telstra is losing a major portion of your data. Some of the hops in your connection are losing an average of 5% of the packets you’re sending out. You’ll need to work with them to get this resolved.
ok thank you for your help!
