I am reading that I need to sign into Battle.net and change your alias. I play on xbox and do not recall ever creating a battle.net account. So I try to sign in regardless. My one and only email account sure enough has never been used on battle net. How can I change my alias from BTXXXXXX to the original name on battle.net for an account that does not exist? Is my only option sending a image of a govt issue ID and hope they can retrieve my account? I just want to change my name that I have used in OW since its release.
I recommend first starting a web ticket with Blizzard and provide your email address, and they will be able to confirm if your Xbox account is associated with a BattleNet account or not. Note, sending ID may be required.
