I think the most balanced supports right now are Moira and zenyatta. However the other healers are suffering with some “flaws” that need to be changed to be at the same level as these two.
First of all , Ana. She’s not bad , she just lacks some stuff to be as viable.
Ana NEEDS some self sustain. She needs some sort of self healing other than using her very powerful nade for herself. she has to waste her cooldown just to get some health back when it could help her team. She needs some “passive” healing like if she stands still , she’d recover HP over time or if she lands a bullet on a not full hp target she recovers some of her HP back. Either of these are fine
Second of All , Mercy . She’s viable but her kit is flawed. Her E ability is clunky and can only be used after a fight is over. It’s a flaw if a hero’s whole balance is based on an E ability that goes against the “mobile” hero’s gameplay. As a mercy you need to be always on the move escaping the enemy team as you’re a very close range hero and arguably the most mobile hero in the game. Her E seems out of place. I think they need to

remove res as an E ability ( dont worry that doesn’t mean she loses res completely to you mercy mains out there) replace it with an escape ability that she doesn’t need her teammates to use ; boost up into the air for example

put one instant res in valk (her E ability becomes the res in valk) and increase the healing on the “main” target : for example : main target is healed 80 hp and the rest are healed 40-50HP. This would make valk less boring and make the mercy who prioritize the targets in valk able to get more value out of it.
all these changes wouldn’t break mercy and will make her more interesting to play.
moving on to lucio.
Lucio’s been passively nerfed with patches , last one being the sombra patch.
here’s what I think:
*Sombra’s hack should disable wallride but not his songs
he also loses his ult easily if stunned as he makes a big jump into the air before touching the ground. I think that they should make it so the higher the lucio jump is the more shields his team gets to compensate for that

I think that only zen is in the perfect balance. Lucio is just ok aswell, only the aura removal when hacked should be change. Hacking wall-ride is enough.
zen is the most balanced hero in the game , he has so much to him. Lucio’s just been passively nerfed a lot is what I pointed out (not directly) a little bit of compensation wouldn’t hurt his balance , nothing too big or dramatic.

Some thoughts of mine:
Ana:
New Eye of Horus passive that allows her shots to pierce full HP teammates and lets Ana receive a small amount of HP when she heals a teammate with her shots.
Mercy:
Current rez is replaced with a full HP heal, requires to have healed 1000 points of damage and is lost upon death. This ability turns into an instant single rez during Valkyrie, does NOT reset upon activating valk.
I think the Ana changes would make her feel better to play without touching her skill floor/ceiling and the Mercy changes adds some risk/reward to her game play.

you mean an ability that she can charge by healing? seems interesting but I heard a famous streamer suggested something that charges just like torb’s armor yet blizzard said it’s “too complicated” . Not a bad idea at all though for an E ability though blizzard would most likely want an ability to be on a cooldown not charged

I agree with most parts, although I would like to add my never-ending cry for wall climb for Ana and also that although I also want the beams to heal different amounts I would rather have the ult shorter to make the healing greater (10-12 seconds 100/50 could work). Lucio should also have a shorter cast time for his ult, or lower the ult charge required.

I don’t think ana will get self sustain. Her utility, healing, and range require her to have a weakness in close range and self sustain.

wall climbing Ana would be quite the funny thing to see , at least she’d be able to reach the locations other snipers like Widdow can reach XD
but I think she can’t get both self sustain and wall climb at the same time

Well, the wall climb would be slow (so not to get away from people, more to position herself for healing) and the self-sustain doesn’t really need to be that much, just enough so that she mustn’t use her nade or find a health pack.

she already is a very easy target? She has a big weakness which is barriers too , she’s not in the best place and is the only healer who has to waster her cooldown to heal herself

The intent of her not having self sustain is because she has a ton of utility. Similarly, Moira can heal a lot because she has no utility.

I was thinking 10-12 hp per bullet landed or if she stands still per second
either of those sound reasonable. not a vampire like moira , mostly to heal herself even outside of battle

I’m thinking she could get 5 hp for every shot that heals, it would be enough to fix her up without giving her Moira levels of self sustain.

I think Mercy is fine where she is at now, you really just have to have good positioning and be ready to move your feet when the fighting begins. Mercy could still use some work to make her feel good but her not being a must pick now is a blessing.

One thing that Ana needs (though not the most important thing) is headshots enabled on enemies. Every single other character who does not use a beam to attack can deal critical hits. Some, like Lucio, are rare to achieve, and some, like Bastion, rely on a particular situation, but everyone apart from Ana, Zarya, Winston, Symmetra and Moira can deal critical hits.

the changes I’m suggesting won’t make her a must pick. Just will make her feel better to play considering she won’t have res as an ability and won’t be as clunky. (she’ll only have one instant res in ult)
As I said balancing a hero’s balanced on an E ability that goes against their gameplay mechanics isn’t healthy for the hero’s play style

Her standard kit is fine, although resurrect being a standard fixed cooldown ability that turns you into a statue for around two seconds is questionable. However, her ultimate ability is laughably called an ultimate still. Spectating the match for 15 seconds while chain healing that doesn’t have anywhere near the same impact as other support ultimates, such as Lucio, can’t be justified as an ultimate.

Give Ana 100 shields. Now she has self-regen without having to worry about tuning any abilities.
Then make Rez instant when using Valk. but do not give anything extra. Also give mercy a lingering heal like Moira (but weak, like 15hps) so she can use Pistol without having to worry about not healing in situations where it’s not needed.
Ana already does pretty good damage though , I don’t think it’s great to make her completely dps

I still player Mercy when I know she’ll be strong and from my experience with her after the patch has been fine. This is just me though, your suggestions I don’t agree with because having a 600HP hero resurrected doesn’t feel good when I just killed him. I think res needs to be something similar to Torbs armor packs except instead of being able to drop 4 armor packs when you fill up the bar you can resurrect some one.
This is just my opinion on that thought :T
