So, I recently got Overwatch on PS4 to play with one of my mates, and already I’ve had a better game experience over on PS4 than I’ve had in nearly 4 years on Xbox. My PSA account isn’t able to play comp yet, so I don’t know how those two compare yet, but in terms of regular games they feel so much better
The people I’ve met are a ton nicer, and for a person with pretty bad anxiety is a nice and welcome change (yeah, people use comms even in QP, so I’ve met a ton of people already)
The teamcomps are better than I’ve seen even in comp to be honest, and I know I just said I wouldn’t talk about comp, but I’ve gotta give credit where credit is due. If this actually holds true for comp it’ll be great, but it’s nice to always have a shield, a hitscan and a main healer in my games, regardless of the role I choose.
And the game as a whole just feels better on PS4. It’s feels crisp, all the animations look and feel smoother. Xbox might have better colours and feel more vibrant, but I’d take performance and snappiness over looks any day.
It’s like a whole different game. Compare that to my experience on Xbox with all the throwers in matches (yes, in QP), the salty messages I receive (yes, In QP) and just how the game itself feels as a whole, I’d take learning a new controller and playing on PS4 over playing another minute on Xbox any day of the week.
I have Xbox and PS4 so for me I find that the multiplayer games are way more fun, whereas PS4’s single player games are way better. So they pretty much even out for me.
I don’t really see a difference in communities tbh, other than the people who fight over which system is better.
People will always claim that the best system is the one they have… this debate will always be full of bias… especially since both are irrelevant and PC is what you need to play on
Saw a video the other day going over all the things Xbox has done within the last decade to degrade the quality of their releases compared to PlayStation, and I couldn’t agree more with you (even though I have never owned a PS4 or an Xbox One)
Younguns, I’ve played this game before. Back in the ol’ days with Nintendo and Sega. There was a war and some say, war does not change. They might be right. The battles were fierce, many good and bad decisions were made, and in the end, Nintendo was victorious. But at WHAT COST? We lost SEGA, and now they work with their mortal enemy just to survive. NAY I say. X-Box and Playstation are EQUALS. One might be a bit stronger, a bit more FLOPS, but to say one is “worse”? That kinda talks only kills.
It might just be that there’s a larger user base in your region on PS4 than Xbox. More people gives you a higher chance to run into higher quality players.
Question about this, do you use the same HDMI cord you use for your xbox as you do for your ps4? It might be that you got an upgrade without knowing another possibility is that you have an older model xbox and a newer model ps4
Yeah, but if I cared about Overwatch on console, I would get a ps4. The playerbase is already relatively small. Last I heard, the Switch version is basically dead. If you have access to both, it makes sense to play ps4.
