Cassidy's grenade is WACK

“Mag” i guess we’re calling it now, achtually :nerd_face: has less range cuz if it explodes in the air it does next to nothing compared to flash.

Aka easier for hypermobile heroes to dodge. On an ability thats supposed to counter them.

Something that’s way harder(and less reliable) against hypermobile heroes. Again, on an ability that’s supposed to counter them.

I’d say give him 250hp, as another countermeasure against flankers, to provide more “Support Peeling”.

yup . i alredy said this and will keep saying it … it does way too much dmg for how ridiculously easy it is to use

a simple dmg nerf its what it needs

salty much? you’re afraid of his little grenade huh? not an aerial rocket from pharah, not a sniper headshot, but a cassidy grenade, ok.

Not by that much more, i’d just make it like 33-50% harder than rn on its magnetization, its still easier than hitting any of his hitscan stuff.

Unless they are slowed for 40% and cant strafe as much, though hypermobility still kinda works (like a Dash or Blinks) it still helps that they cant run normally.

I think it’s a fair move, Cassidy is suppose to be the closer range hitscan so it’d make sense that he have something to make close quarters fights easy, compare him to ither characters that fight the at the same range, Junkrat has a one shot combo as well as hog, Reaper is a menace, Genji has high mobility and can jump around opponents, even ash has Dynamite + coach to easily take a chunk off an enemy up close, and the move itself take a moment before detonating, so characters with escape options can dodge it

a simple easy to pull off body shot + grenade is all he needs to do to kill half the roster … it feels so cheap and undeserved i really hate it xD it rather get hs by a sniper

My problem with the grenade is that it’s kinda like a heat seeking rocket like he doesn’t have to aim and try to get it stuck on you no he just has to be looking in your general direction and it magically just blackholes to you.

I saw a death recap where this Cassidy threw his nade near the ground as i was an air born Pharah and it magically got stuck to me.

sorry but you’re wrong. widow can do that much damage in mere seconds from half of the map away, and without being in dangerously close ranges, and without wasting a cd. not to mention a single hear overrides it, then hes stuck. it HAS to kill. you likely got killed a few times by it and are just posting your salt. what about when it doesnt work out for him and he dies spectacularly?

What no its 33-55% harder in general cuz i want you to have to aim the darn thing at least a bit more.

I KNOW but its not like i want him to delete them from existence, Genji, Sombra and Tracer have already been nerfed, (Genji will be), Just doing 70 dmg while exploding faster then even slowing them so you hit them easier after they use their hypermobility might be ENOOOUGH1!1

Specially since now he would have a good right click to go with it all.

I want his kit to flow more with all of its options, not just press E on some1’s general direction and have all of its value be focused on just that.

thats what a sniper is tho right …

at least she has to actually aim for it and aim at the head not just in my general area knowing that the bullet will track the target on its own …

nope you have to aim it, it has limited homing, and it has to be pretty close range. it’s mainly used on tracer or heroes that play up close, so it’s not like he can just go crazy with it on other heroes, he leaves himself wide open.

im a support player alr . staying alive is my top priority.

when a hanzo / widow get a good hs on me im often impressed . when cree deletes me with that grenade i feel cheated … just my opinion

Ok but then do u have a problem with Junkrat’s one shot combo, or hog’s, How bout Genji being able to spam alt fire while hopping around to also get ez kills on squishies. when you compare it to other hitscan abilities then sure it may seem cheap when you’re thinking about nothing but aim, but he needs in order to fill his niche as a close to mid range hitscan he needs to have something like this, if Cassidy didn’t have good CQC then why not pick any other hitscan, and it’s not as cheap as people think, as you many characters have escape tools that can allow them to avoid it

i won’t say it’s not cheap, hes sort of a cheap hero, not overpowered in the slightest though, he just puts all of his power into burst damage.

Until Queue Times and Matchmaker Quality get better, then there’s not going to be “enough” things to make Support more popular.

And it’s not particularly necessary for Flankers to be strong in ELOs with weak peeling.

Also the Genji changes do almost nothing outside of Pro/Top500.

Flash had workarounds that you could combat with skill. If you carried momentum in air (jump etc) you could negate the potential fan/headshot accuracy. You could also blink to avoid it on Tracer, you could use any cc ability like concussion mine or lucio boop to create distance even if the flash hit you… Yea it was a cheap shot still, but it had limitations and it didnt home around corners like some heat-seeking AA missile. It’s literally just a more convenient and low skill Tracer pulse bomb that comes online 2 or 3 times every fight.

You forgot that “low skill” only applies to support and tanks.

dps is always “high skill” regardless how easy they are :wink:
