His ultimate can’t remain a suicide button any longer and he needs his old fall off back too, his gun is a complete joke at range and the extra 25hp doesn’t offset how bad he feels to play. Reward good aim with the damage he used to have

Hope they give him a new ultimate, Dead Eye is the biggest reason his win rate is negative. This game is low skill press Q to win.

Considering flashbang is apparently in line to get removed I feel like he’ll probably see a powershift back towards his primary fire and maybe ult.
Even if flashbang is replaced there’s no way whatever it is will be as powerful.
If they remove flash they need to give him mobility, he’ll get farmed. Overload would have been the perfect ability for him but they gave that to Torb.

Tracer is the biggest issue, imagine how broken Tracer would be without Cree and Brigs stun. She’s already the strongest dps.

Imagine thinking a milti-target, lockon, hitscan one-shot is bad. Sure, it’s not going to get muktikills every time - if it did, it would be an “I win” button.
If you’re not getting value with Dead-eye you’re doing it wrong.

Easiest ultimate to shut down, LOS especially in higher ranks.
Snipers, Mei wall, Genji deflect, shields, immortality all shut it down.
The devs agree with this statement since they wanted to ramp up the target lock-on even further in an experimental last year October, but ofc didn’t push it live because of some anti-fps people raging he’d become too “good”.
So that’s why Cassidy mains at high ranks use it all the time as a extra reload button.
They also get kills with it “all the time”.
Again, huge muktikills aren’t common and given the nature of Dead-eye, they shouldn’t be.

Wanted loses so many games because of Dead Eye, he’d be top 10 if Cree had a decent ultimate.
We’d all be Top 10 if we had an ability that instakilled 3 opponents at a press of the Q button. So what?

I was referring to your hypothetical version of Cassidy with a buffed Ultimate.

buffing a weak ult doesn’t make it uncounterable. they shouldn’t even need to buff it, they could just give him something else
Give him Destiny 2’s golden gun, 3 shot 500 damage each. Androxus ultimate from Paladins.
The biggest, most obvious reason is that unlike Cassidy, Reinhardt’s entire kit is garbage in high ranks right now - he’s no match for the amount of burst damage and CC in the game currently. Cassidy, on the other hand, is just one of the many, many heros dealing out the CC and burst damage at high ranks right now.
Looking at just his Ultimate though, Earthshatter doesn’t have the range or longevity that Dead-eye does and it doesn’t have the ability to break shields and kill people standing behind them that Dead-eye does.

His ult is really only good for instant reload or occasionally creating space if you don’t die during using it.
