Cass In EVERY game

Exactly.

Cassidy being played so often is a symptom of the current state of the game. When Sombra, Tracer, Echo, Moira and Doom aren’t in every game we’ll see less Cass.

He is a generalist character, but his hitbox and lack of mobility can definitely be exploited. He also relies heavily on his grenade to win those close quarters engagements, so if you dodge that then he’s pretty easy to bully at that point.

i’m just glad it won’t chase me anymore in 10 days. if he throws it, it’s going to be short ranged and will blow up instead of magnetise

we won

i hope they make it so that he blows up instead of his stupid grenade

Widow/kiriko to dominatrix him from across the map while denying the desperate counter swap sombra

Bonus if your tank handles the enemy tank so you can just violate all game.

You WILL be dealing with a sombra, so ult often to ruin her day. Most of them will stop playing the game for those 15 seconds- effectively killing her twice for free.

Sure, play widow, then they switch to sombra.

I’ve noticed that the Casses on my team usually keep me in healbot Kiri mode for minutes at a time, and if we have a Bastion as well, I’ll probably throw five kunai in the whole match. Those characters have a secret passive call: “Is Critical, all the time.”

McCree is very strong, I agree. I think that he enables casuals to get some wins in QP, and quite frankly, all I care about is QP.

Better thing for Cass that he was one of the characters who benefitted the most from the hitbox buffs, how he retained his 2-shot, how, like I said, can reload his gun with his roll, and how he has an auto-tracking nade so he doesn’t even need to hit two consecutive headshots.

Good thing an objectively powerful character is being white knighted as if he is weak with dumb arguments like “his damage over time is lacking” when he is 1. a burst damage character and 2. Isn’t struggling at all.

Because I definitely said he’s weak.

I definitely did not say he has weaknesses

I definitely just said he sucks, yes.

Give it a season or two and Blizz will dumpster him because that is the only way they know how to balance.

Mccree Mains:
“Mccree is useless now!”

This season, everyone else:
“Headshot spam is too strong!”

Meanwhile me:
“Finally! People understand me!”

the problem is, and this effects other heroes too, this game only moonlights as an FPS. it pretends it’s a shooter for like 85-90% of the game but the 10-15% that plays like Overwatch, a cheesy brawler, Cass falls off hard. though he seems to be doing way better this month since the armor changes.

the Overwatch phase of the game is like 5x more significant than the poke/FPS phase. and this is where the problem arises, because a some hero’s FPS prowess does not transfer to a win like low aim-skill high sustain heroes do when they’re fully enabled during the brawl.

so Cass gets buffs which only makes him more obnoxious during the neutral and barely any better in the brawl.

Rein has the opposite problem, he’s not an FPS hero and unless you play him like you’re literally a bullet he’s worth negative value until you get him on the objective when it matters. then he’s arguably the best hero in the game hence his good statistics but negative sentiment.
