Can't play O2 because my Xbox cannot read my O1 game disk

I have Overwatch 1, ran the update for Overwatch 2… but O2 still asks me to enter my O1 game disk to play O2.

Can I uninstall Overwatch, and reinstall it without losing all my data from my Overwatch 1 games? My Overwatch 1 CD cannot be read by my Xbox anymore.

I’m trying to see how I can play Overwatch 2 without my Overwatch 1 disk and without losing all my gaming data and ranking.

If you’re talking about profile progress that’s all saved in the cloud so you can freely uninstall the game and reinstall.

You could also try resetting the Xboxes cache (keep apps and games!).
